The Global Supply Manager leads end-to-end supply planning and inventory analysis across assigned product families, developing strategies that balance customer demand, inventory investment, supplier commitments, and operational risk. This role partners across Supply Planning, Procurement, Product Operations, Finance, Manufacturing Partners, and Logistics to drive supply continuity, inventory health, and business performance.\nEssential Functions:\nLeverage supply planning principles to create and communicate strategic supply plans aligned with demand forecasts, inventory targets, and key business objectives. \nManage supplier forecasts, commits, and supply availability across assigned commodities and product families; make adjustments with suppliers and internal stakeholders as conditions change. \nDrive recovery plans for material shortages, supplier constraints, and factory execution risks, with clear actions, owners, and closure dates. \nAnalyze inventory health across contract manufacturers, hubs, distribution centers, and suppliers. \nMonitor inventory turns, weeks of supply, excess and obsolete inventory, aged inventory, liability exposure, supply coverage, and buffer performance. \nIdentify opportunities to reduce excess inventory while maintaining customer-service and supply-continuity objectives. \nDevelop inventory strategies for new product introduction, sustaining products, and end-of-life transitions. \nPartner with Finance to improve inventory accuracy, liability management, and working-capital efficiency. \nPerform consumption analysis and recommend actions to improve inventory utilization and alignment between supply and demand. \nUse systems and analytics tools to manage supply, communicate issues, model scenarios, and improve decision-making efficiency. \nBuild executive-level dashboards and reports that provide clear visibility to supply performance, inventory health, risks, and opportunities. \nWork with contract manufacturers, EMS partners, sub-tier suppliers, and internal stakeholders to close supply gaps and improve factory readiness. \nLead cross-functional initiatives that improve planning effectiveness, inventory performance, process standardization, and reporting automation. \nCommunicate risks and issues that may affect business objectives and recommend practical mitigation options. \nEnsure projects adhere to company processes and initiate continuous improvements when needed. \nJob Requirements\nRequirements\nExcellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to translate complex analysis into concise executive-level recommendations. \nStrong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills. \nAdvanced knowledge of inventory management, supply planning, forecasting, production scheduling, and supplier management. \nAbility to conduct scenario modeling, trend analysis, root-cause analysis, and data-driven risk assessment. \nProject and program management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives without direct authority. \nProficiency with Microsoft Office and enterprise planning systems; experience with SAP/Oracle, SAP IBP, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, or comparable analytics tools is preferred. \nUnderstanding of ERP/MRP and shop-floor control systems. \nExperience with contract manufacturers, EMS partners, OEMs, or sub-tier suppliers in a global supply-chain environment. \nAbility to establish operating cadence, governance routines, escalation paths, and execution metrics. \nStrong continuous-improvement orientation and a proven record of delivering measurable business results.\nResponsibility and Interaction\nResponsibility:\nThis position independently manages complex assignments within a large group or department and serves as a subject matter expert in supply and inventory analysis. \nDecisions made by this individual may have operational and financial impact, including customer-service, inventory-investment, supplier-commitment, and working-capital outcomes. \nThis individual applies systems, data, experience, knowledge, and relationships to address issues diverse in scope and resolve problems through short-, mid-, and longer-term planning. \nThe role is accountable for converting supply and inventory risks into clear recommendations, action plans, owners, timelines, and measurable outcomes. \nInteraction:\nThis individual works effectively with staff and management within and outside the department, function, and organization. \nThe individual is self-managing and prioritizes activities based on business needs, customer impact, and financial exposure. \nThe ideal candidate is a proactive contributor and subject matter expert who demonstrates results through leadership and influence. \nThe role serves as a key interface among NetApp stakeholders, Finance, manufacturing partners, EMS leadership, factory operations teams, and critical suppliers. \nEducation\nEducation & Experience\nMinimum of 8-12 years of supply chain, supply planning, inventory management, supplier management, factory execution, or contract manufacturing experience. \nBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field;
