We need a detail-oriented and logical programmer who loves to be part of a team and is comfortable collaborating across multiple areas of the organization. This role works on a hybrid schedule at our Toronto, ON office and passion for software development and automation is a must-have!\n What You'll Do\nProvide guidance and support to junior QA engineers; share best practices, testing techniques, and knowledge with the QA team.\nDevelop detailed test plans and strategies based on project requirements and specifications; design comprehensive test cases and scenarios to cover functional and non-functional requirements; ensure complete coverage of all the use cases, test cases, and workflows.\nExecute manual and automated tests, ensuring thorough coverage of the application; perform different types of testing such as functional, regression, performance, usability, and security testing.\nIdentify areas for improvement in QA processes and methodologies; stay updated with industry trends and incorporate new tools and practices into the QA process.\nIdentify, document, and track software defects using appropriate tools; collaborate with development teams to reproduce, diagnose, and resolve issues.\nCollect and analyze quality metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of testing efforts; generate test reports and provide quality assessments to stakeholders; work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality goals; participate in design and code reviews to provide feedback from a QA perspective.\nEvaluate and recommend QA tools and technologies; Ensure the QA environment and tools are properly set up and maintained; identify and assess risks associated with software releases and deployments; develop mitigation strategies to address potential quality issues; ensure that software meets regulatory standards and industry best practices; implement and enforce QA standards and guidelines within the team.\nUnderstand customer requirements and ensure that deliverables meet their expectations; act as a liaison between customers and the development team to address quality concerns.\nDevelop and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency; Integrate automated tests into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.\n What You Bring\nBS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.\n4+ years of experience in software testing or SDET roles.\nHigh proficiency in computer technology and advanced programming ability with Python, Java, Go or other general-purpose programming languages. \nPractical experience testing cloud infrastructure(AWS preferred).\nSolid API/Security testing and automation skills.\nHands-on experience with CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.) and release engineering (pipelines, artifacts, approvals, progressive delivery).\nStrong understanding of networking (TLS, DNS, load balancing).\nExperience with virtualization technologies, specifically VMware (vSphere/ESXi) and Microsoft Hyper-V.\nExperience working in high-scale SaaS environments or large-scale distributed systems.\nStrong written and verbal English communication skills.\nKeen attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.\nManual Dexterity: Repetitive motion of wrists, hands and fingers for using a computer.\nStationary Tasks: Sitting for extended periods, remaining in a stationary position.\nAble to work in our Toronto, ON office on a hybrid schedule\nWhat We Offer\nOur comprehensive compensation package is vital in how we recognize the impact that our people make in helping us achieve our goals.\nFor this role, the estimated base salary range is between CAD 82,000 - CAD 100,000 plus potential bonus.
