Netcompany is a Danish technology company founded in 1999 that builds and operates large digital systems for public sector bodies and private enterprises across northern Europe. It is best known for delivering national-scale platforms for Danish and other government agencies, including tax, benefits, health and identity systems, and it works on a delivery model where it takes end-to-end responsibility for a solution rather than supplying consultants by the hour. Headquartered in Copenhagen and listed on Nasdaq Copenhagen, it employs several thousand people across Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Poland and Greece.

Do you have solid experience leading large-scale IT projects? Are you motivated by delivering innovative IT solutions to complex, society-critical challenges? If so, you may be our next colleague in the role of IT Manager at Netcompany. As a Manager, you will be challenged in a position that requires strong leadership capabilities as well as technical expertise.

Responsibilities and technologies

As an IT Manager, you will be responsible for leading large-scale IT projects from initiation through successful delivery. You will manage project teams, oversee project risks, and ensure high standards of quality, delivery, and stakeholder satisfaction. In addition, you will play a key role in client advisory services, business development activities, and proposal management.

Beyond your leadership responsibilities, you will be expected to contribute with strong technical expertise. You will act as a trusted advisor and sparring partner on technical solution design and implementation, helping project teams and clients solve complex challenges.

Alongside your project management responsibilities, you will serve as a mentor to consultants and senior consultants. This long-term mentoring relationship will give you the opportunity to support, guide, and contribute to the professional development of your mentees throughout their careers at Netcompany.

Your responsibilites will typically include:

  • Leading projects and ensuring successful delivery and progress, typically based on agile development methodologies.
  • Participating in steering committee meetings with senior representatives from both Netcompany and the client organization.
  • Advising the client on project deliverables.
  • Coordinating activities across multiple project workstreams, including testing, organizational implementation, and software development.
  • Leading proposal teams and conducting development and performance discussions with your mentees.

About you

We expect you to hold a masters's degree in engineering, computer science, software, IT, or a similar field. To succeed in this role, you have:

  • Strong technical expertise and relevant experience within the IT industry.
  • Proven experience leading large and complex IT delivery projects, including projects utilizing agile development methodologies.
  • Strong commercial awareness combined with the ability to build trust and lead high-performing teams.
  • Full professional proficiency in Danish and English (written and spoken) is a must.

Continue developing with us

At Netcompany, we focus on your personal and professional development.

We provide a structured career model that allows you to build on your existing experiences.

When you join us, you will be assigned a personal mentor who will support your development and help you achieve your personal and professional goals. Additionally, you will be enrolled in our internal training programme, Netcompany Academy, where you are offered courses and seminars tailored to you and where you are in your career. All courses are taught by experienced Netcompany colleagues, ensuring that all content is highly relevant and builds upon your professional skills. Participating alongside colleagues from across the company helps you build a solid network and provides a strong foundation for your career at Netcompany, both professionally and socially.
