Candidates with both Mainframe and Distributed Systems experience will be highly preferred.\n\nThe role involves production troubleshooting, monitoring, automation and reliability engineering with a strong focus on reducing operational toil, improving monitoring/alerting and enhancing system supportability.\n\nKey Responsibilities & Skills : \n\n- Production support, debugging and troubleshooting of COBOL, DB2 and JCL programs in IBM Mainframe / TSO environments.\n\n- Experience working with Linux/Unix environments and distributed applications.\n\n- Strong knowledge of Linux administration and troubleshooting.\n\n- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, DB2, Snowflake, MongoDB or similar databases.\n\n- Strong understanding of SQL, Stored Procedures, Compound SQL, database scripting and data analysis.\n\n- Experience in DB monitoring, performance tuning and production issue resolution.\n\n- Hands-on scripting experience in Python and/or Shell scripting for automation and operational activities.\n\n- Analyze production trends, create metrics and perform root-cause analysis.\n\n- Develop automation tools, monitoring solutions and SRE capabilities to reduce manual effort and operational toil.\n\n- Collaborate with global technology, application and infrastructure teams.\n\n- Participate in shift-based production support and on-call activities.\n\nGood to Have : \n\n- Experience in Investment Banking / Financial Services / Banking Products.\n\n- Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Elasticsearch / Elastic Stack or other monitoring and alerting tools.\n\n- Knowledge of Git, GitHub, Jenkins and CI/CD tools.\n\n- Exposure to DevOps / SRE practices and tooling.\n\n- Understanding of Cloud technologies AWS / Azure / GCP.\n\n- Experience supporting both Mainframe and Distributed platforms is a strong advantage.\n\nRequired Skills : \n\n- Mainframe | COBOL | DB2 | JCL | TSO | Linux | PostgreSQL | Snowflake | MongoDB | SQL | Python | Shell Scripting | Production Support | Monitoring | Performance Tuning | SRE | Automation\n\nEducation : \n\n- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.\n\nKey Traits : \n\n- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, excellent communication, ability to work with global teams, and flexibility to work in shifts/on-call.\n\nPreferred Profile : \n\n- Candidates having both
