Cybercrime Analysts have an opportunity to make a real difference in the world by identifying threats and acting to protect governments, banks, and consumers from online attacks. You'll be a key part of the incident response team, finding innovative ways to rapidly disrupt cyber-attacks against our clients. And don't worry if you have limited experience in this area: we can train you.\nDay to day, your responsibilities will include:\nCybercrime incident response - communicating analysis of cyber threats to relevant parties to mitigate attacks;\nClassification of malicious websites, social media profiles, apps, emails, and phone numbers;\nProviding clear and professional feedback to customers on incidents and classifications;\nSharing your ideas on how to improve processes and workflows.\nBased at our Bath office, but with hybrid flexibility, you’ll report directly to a more senior member of the Technical Operations function and will work closely with colleagues across different teams. \nTo be successful, you’ll need\nAttention to detail, adaptability, and strong intellectual and commercial curiosity;\nA positive and solution-focused approach;\nInterest in the internet and cybercrime prevention;\nExcellent communication skills with a high standard of written English;\nAbility to engage with people in a friendly, helpful, and professional way;\nSelf-motivation, ability to take initiative, and work as part of a team;\nAptitude for analysing and using technical information;\nCompetence in handling incoming phone calls;\nSome experience in cybersecurity is useful but not essential as full training will be provided;\nA degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, IT, or any field that promotes analytical thinking may be beneficial but is not essential. \nPrior experience or knowledge in cybersecurity is not required; we’re more interested in your passion and willingness to grow in this field. \nThis role will involve regular weekend working as part of a scheduled shift pattern. As Netcraft protects its customers 24/7, 365 days a year, flexibility to work weekends is essential.
