We continue to introduce new commerce models, pricing strategies, and other opportunities to grow the business and now you have the chance to join the growing team of finance experts who support them.\nOur Credit & Collections team is currently looking for a Collections Analyst to support our Accounts Receivable (AR) function, reconcile cash, and scale our billings, cash, and collections processes. This newly created position will look to resolve complex issues across our revenue verticals such as Advertising, Partnerships, and Consumer Products. This role will be based in Manila but will work cross-functionally across many time zones with our US and other international offices.\nThe perfect candidate will be hands on and very detail oriented, able to analyze and process a large volume of requests & transactions with high accuracy, have excellent communication skills, be capable of multitasking and take the initiative to drive process change and improvements.\nIn this role, you will:\nReview the aging reports regularly to identify overdue invoices and follow up on outstanding balances in a timely manner, prioritizing based on the age of the debt and the amount due\nReach out to customers with overdue balances through phone, email, or written communication to ensure timely payment. Maintain a professional, courteous, and solution-focused approach when addressing late payments\nManage the company's dunning process (collection letters, escalations) to ensure consistent follow-up based on predefined timelines. This includes sending reminders and formal notices and use of appropriate escalation paths as needed\nFoster strong customer relationships to ensure future payments are received on time and disputes are minimized. Maintain a professional and empathetic approach to working with customers, while also ensuring company interests are protected\nBe a subject matter expert on collections, including upstream and downstream Order to Cash processes \nManage and maintain changes to customer contact, address, and other critical billing and reporting details\nManage cash applications and perform detailed tracking and analysis of cash receipts and collaborate with internal accounting teams to ensure proper treatment under US GAAP.\nManage portal billing as required by the customers\nSupport monthly accounting close activities as needed\nPartner with cross functional teams across the globe (Revenue Accounting, Billing Operations, Treasury Accounting, Sales) to understand end to end workflow, work on streamlining processes and solutions to ensure timely collection of funds across various Revenue verticals\nAssist in the development of strategies to reduce delinquency rates and minimize bad debt by analyzing past-due accounts, identifying payment trends, process gaps, and making recommendations for process improvements\nQualities we’re looking for:\nThrive in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of transactions, tight deadlines, critical business requests, multiple focus areas concurrently, and high ambiguity \nHigh operational discipline & maintains a high level of ownership & accuracy in ensuring timely collection\nProficient knowledge and understanding of Accounts Receivable, Collections workflows, including upstream & downstream workflows (Billing, Revenue, Cash Application)\nProficient in Excel/ Google sheets and ERP systems navigating high volume of data \nCustomer Service oriented person who focuses on quality communication and attention to detail\nA great communicator & collaborator who can cultivate strong cross-functional and stakeholder relationships \nHighly motivated with the ability to work independently\nForward looking thinker who can articulate the need for change and contribute to process Improvement\nSomeone who works with a sense of urgency and sensitivity to SLA’s and timelines\nUses good judgment and knows when to make a decision and when to escalate\nExemplifies the Netflix Culture\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)\nAt least 5 years of experience in AR, billing and collections\nExperience in resolving customer disputes\nProven ability to handle high volumes of activities in a fast-paced environment\nExperience in a global/MNC company is a plus \nExperience in the advertising or ads industry is a plus\nKnowledge of cloud-related ERP systems and ticketing tools is a plus (Workday, HighRadius, Salesforce) for managing AR, billing, and reporting\nOthers\nWilling to work in a hybrid setup (3 days on-site per week) in our Makati office\nOpen to flexible working hours to collaborate effectively with global stakeholders and support regional operations across different time zones\nInclusion is a Netflix value and we strive to host a meaningful interview experience for all candidates.
