This team owns everything about playback in the Netflix Android app outside of the UI, from streaming and offline downloads to the foundations that live events and ad-supported viewing are built on. Right now that means deepening our live and advertising capabilities, working with UI and product teams to make video feel seamless everywhere it appears in the app, and partnering directly with SoC vendors and device OEMs to deliver world-class streaming quality across thousands of Android devices.
