You’ll help build the next generation of native mobile apps that connect millions of customers to their NETGEAR devices.\nYou’ll work alongside experienced mobile engineers across the full product life cycle, from requirements through build and test to release and the production data that follows. You’ll write production code in your first weeks, not your first year, and you’ll use AI coding agents as a standard part of your toolkit.\nEngineers here own their work end to end, including quality. That ownership is the fastest way to earn trust and take on bigger work.\nYou’ll join our mobile engineering team in Cork, which is part of NETGEAR’s global engineering organization. The team is hybrid, and you’ll spend at least two days a week in the office to collaborate, learn and share ideas.\nWhat You Will Be Doing\nBuilding features in our native Android (Kotlin) and iOS (Swift) applications, from ticket to release.\n\nOwning the quality of what you build, including functional QA, regression testing and release validation.\n\nTesting on real devices to make sure setup flows, error states and edge cases work for the person holding the phone, not just for the test suite.\n\nWriting and maintaining automated unit, integration and UI tests, so the same bug is never found twice by hand.\n\nWorking AI-first, using agentic coding tools to plan, write, test, review and refactor, and helping the team get better at it.\n\nAutomating repetitive work by contributing to CI/CD pipelines, build tooling and release automation.\n\nDebugging and optimizing using crash, performance and analytics data from production.\n\nIntegrating APIs, SDKs and cloud services to power app functionality.\n\nTaking part in agile ceremonies and code reviews, giving and receiving feedback.\n\nDoing what the release needs, whether that is a test pass, a build fix, a script or a spec.\n\nWhat You Will Gain\nHands-on experience building and shipping native Android and iOS apps used by millions of customers worldwide.\n\nReal ownership of quality, which is the fastest route to trust and scope on this team.\n\nA deep understanding of mobile architectures, UI frameworks and platform APIs.\n\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and modern DevOps practice.\n\nFluency in AI-assisted development using Claude Code, Copilot and ChatGPT.\n\nA structured graduate onboarding path with a named mentor and a defined first-year development plan.\n\nRoom to grow within NETGEAR’s global engineering organization.\n\nWhat We Are Looking For\nA Level 8 honours degree (or an equivalent honours bachelor’s degree) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.\n\nReal evidence that you can code, in any language. College projects, internships, personal apps, open source and hackathons all count.\n\nAn eye for quality. You notice when something feels wrong for the user, not just when a test fails.\n\nCuriosity about AI-assisted development and a willingness to work in a toolchain that is changing quickly.\n\nA hands-on attitude. Our best engineers pick up whatever the release needs rather than waiting for it to be assigned.\n\nClear written and spoken communication.\n\nStrong problem solving, attention to detail and a collaborative mindset.\n\nNice to Have\nNative mobile experience, Kotlin and Jetpack Compose on Android, or Swift and SwiftUI on iOS.\n\nAny published app, even a small one.\n\nExperience with cross-platform frameworks such as React Native or Flutter.\n\nExposure to Git, CI/CD or automated testing.\n\nKnowledge of REST APIs and mobile architecture fundamentals such as MVC or MVVM.\n\nInterest in networked applications, IoT or connected devices.\n\nWe assess aptitude, not a checklist.
