We're looking for a Network Engineer to own our corporate network and site infrastructure globally, including how we monitor and observe it. This role reports to the Director, Cloud and Enablement, and sits within NETGEAR's global IT team.\nThis is a hands-on technical role with global scope. You'll set and uphold network standards across our sites, build the monitoring and observability that lets us spot problems before users do, and lead the response when things go wrong. It's a high-ownership role on a global team.\nKey Responsibilities\nOwn the design, operation and health of our corporate network globally, including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls and secure remote access.\n\nDefine global standards for network and site infrastructure, and use automation to make sure every site meets them.\n\nLead monitoring and observability across network and site infrastructure, so issues are found and fixed before they affect users.\n\nLead incident management for network and infrastructure issues, from response through root cause to lasting fixes.\n\nDesign and plan capacity, resilience and connectivity for our offices, engineering labs and AWS environments as the business grows.\n\nStrengthen network security in partnership with Corporate Security.\n\nManage relationships with connectivity and network vendors.\n\nPartner closely with Corporate Security, Engineering and peer IT teams globally.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n4+ years in enterprise network engineering.\n\nStrong hands-on experience with routing, switching, Wi-Fi and firewalls in a multi-site environment.\n\nExperience with SD-WAN and secure remote access.\n\nExperience building monitoring and observability for network and infrastructure.\n\nExperience leading incident response and root cause analysis.\n\nScripting or automation skills, such as Python or Ansible.\n\nStrong communication skills and experience supporting a global user base.\n\nBachelor's degree (NFQ Level 8) in a relevant discipline, or equivalent practical experience.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nIndustry certifications such as CCNA/CCNP or equivalent.\n\nExperience with NETGEAR business networking products.\n\nCloud networking experience in AWS, such as VPC design, site-to-site VPN and Direct Connect.\n\nNetwork automation or infrastructure as code.\n\nNetwork design for lab or test environments.\n\nEligibility to live and work in Ireland is required.
