In this role, you will lead the validation of cutting-edge router and networking products, driving protocol compliance, interoperability testing, and test automation across L2/L3 feature sets. You will collaborate closely with firmware, software, and hardware engineering teams to define test strategies, mentor junior engineers, and ensure that our products meet the highest standards of reliability and standards compliance before reaching customers.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans for L3 routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, RIPv2, and Static Routing on enterprise and consumer routers\n\nLead validation of WAN technologies including PPPoE, DHCP WAN, Static IP, and multi-WAN failover scenarios\n\nPerform end-to-end testing of Firewall, NAT/PAT, DHCP, and DNS features across both IPv4 and IPv6 environments\n\nDrive test automation initiatives using Python, Robot Framework, or equivalent frameworks\n\nConduct packet-level analysis using Wireshark and tcpdump to validate protocol behavior\n\nPerform interoperability testing across multi-vendor environments\n\nMentor junior QA engineers and contribute to team capability building\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams during design reviews and early-stage feature validation\n\nRequired Qualifications\n8+ years of relevant work experience\n\nHands-on experience with IPv6 (addressing, DHCPv6, SLAAC, dual-stack environments), strong added advantage\n\nFamiliarity with VPN technologies (IPSec, OpenVPN, WireGuard)\n\nExperience with VLAN and other L2 protocols\n\nExposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated regression frameworks\n\nExperience with embedded Linux or firmware-level debugging\n\nNetworking certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent) are a plus\n\nCompany Statement/Values:\nAt NETGEAR, we are on a mission to unleash the full potential of connectivity with intelligent solutions that delight and protect.
