You will work directly with customers to understand their applications, business processes, data, integrations, and modernization objectives, then translate those needs into production-ready architecture and software.\nThe ideal candidate combines traditional software-engineering depth with hands-on experience building and deploying enterprise applications on Appian and/or Salesforce. This is not a platform-administration or low-code-only role. You will use modern AI-assisted development tools to generate and accelerate code, tests, documentation, and technical analysis while remaining accountable for the security, quality, maintainability, and production readiness of the final solution.\nResponsibilities\nLead customer discovery and translate business and mission requirements into solution architectures, technical designs, and implementation plans.\n\nAssess existing applications, workflows, data, integrations, infrastructure, and modernization constraints.\n\nArchitect and build enterprise applications using Appian, Salesforce, traditional software technologies, cloud-native services, or hybrid approaches.\n\nMake informed build-versus-platform decisions based on business requirements, platform capabilities, scalability, security, maintainability, and cost.\n\nDesign application components, process workflows, data models, APIs, integrations, identity controls, and deployment approaches.\n\nUse AI-assisted development tools to analyze applications and generate code, tests, documentation, designs, and modernization artifacts.\n\nPersonally develop critical application components, integrations, APIs, prototypes, and reusable architectural patterns.\n\nReview, test, refine, and validate AI-generated code and technical artifacts before production release.\n\nGuide delivery teams through implementation, testing, deployment, production stabilization, and ongoing support.\n\nCommunicate architectural decisions, risks, and technical tradeoffs clearly to customers, business stakeholders, and engineering teams.\n\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nU.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain the required federal suitability or security clearance.\n\n10+ years of software development, application architecture, solution architecture, or technical-delivery experience.\n\nDemonstrated ownership of a significant application from requirements and design through production deployment and ongoing support.\n\nStrong hands-on engineering experience with Java, C#/.NET, Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or comparable enterprise technologies.\n\nHands-on experience building and deploying production applications using Appian and/or Salesforce in a large enterprise environment.\n\nExperience designing APIs, integrations, distributed systems, data solutions, and secure enterprise applications.\n\nExperience integrating Appian or Salesforce applications with custom software, databases, identity providers, cloud services, and external APIs.\n\nExperience with cloud platforms, containers, CI/CD, automated testing, security tooling, and production observability.\n\nPractical experience using AI tools to generate, refactor, test, document, or analyze production software, with disciplined human validation.\n\nStrong customer-facing discovery, consulting, communication, technical leadership, and problem-solving skills.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nProduction application-development experience with both Appian and Salesforce.\n\nAppian certification and experience with process models, records, interfaces, expression rules, integrations, security, and deployment.\n\nSalesforce experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, platform events, APIs, data architecture, or application security.\n\nExperience determining when to use enterprise-platform capabilities versus custom Java, .NET, Python, or cloud-native development.\n\nFederal consulting experience and familiarity with FISMA, NIST, FedRAMP, or zero-trust principles.\n\nExperience with AI coding agents, agentic workflows, MCP, automated evaluation, guardrails, or AI development governance.\n\nAbout Us\nAt NetImpact Strategies, we post salary ranges in compliance with the specific labor laws and regulations of each county and state, ensuring transparency and fairness in our hiring practices. This approach reflects our commitment to adhering to legal requirements and promoting equitable pay standards across all regions where we operate. The posted salary range for this role is $172,000-210,000. The posted salary range is not an exact indication of the actual compensation offered and is instead a range of what NetImpact, in good faith, could compensate at the lowest and most high end of the salary market. In general, NetImpact may not pay the top of the salary range.
