This role will be responsible for defining data strategy, data models, governance standards, and scalable cloud-based data solutions while partnering closely with engineering, analytics, DevOps, and business teams.\nThe ideal candidate combines strong architecture experience with hands-on knowledge of modern data platforms, cloud technologies, and large-scale data processing.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign and define enterprise data architecture aligned with business and technology strategy.\nArchitect and guide implementation of cloud-native data platforms, including data lakes, data warehouses, and modern analytical architectures.\nLead the design of scalable batch and real-time data processing solutions.\nEstablish and govern data modeling standards (conceptual, logical, and physical models).\nDrive best practices for data quality, security, governance, metadata management, and compliance.\nProvide architectural guidance for data integration, ETL/ELT frameworks, and data lifecycle management.\nCollaborate with data engineering, analytics, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to deliver enterprise data solutions.\nEvaluate and recommend tools, frameworks, and emerging technologies to modernize the data ecosystem.\nMentor engineers and architects through design reviews, technical guidance, and architecture best practices.\nSupport platform scalability, reliability, performance optimization, and cost efficiency.\nRequired Skills & Experience\n12+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, data platform, or data architecture roles.\nProven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale data architectures.\nStrong understanding of cloud-based data platforms and data pipelines on public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.\nExperience with data warehousing, data lakes, and modern analytical architectures.\nStrong knowledge of data modeling principles and best practices.\nExperience designing solutions for both batch and real-time data processing.\nProficiency in SQL and experience with Python or similar programming languages.\nUnderstanding of data governance, metadata management, data quality, and security frameworks.\nExperience working with large-scale, high-volume data environments.\nStrong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with Apache Spark and large-scale distributed data processing.\nExperience with AWS, Azure, or GCP data services and cloud-native architectures.\nExperience with modern analytics and data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or similar technologies.\nFamiliarity with modern table formats and lakehouse technologies such as Iceberg, Delta Lake, or Apache Hudi.\nKnowledge of CI/CD practices, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent).\nExperience in regulated or enterprise domains such as healthcare, financial services, retail, or manufacturing.\nRelevant cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP).\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nNetsmart is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer, providing equal employment and advancement opportunities to all individuals.
