This role is ideal for independent technicians who are comfortable working in commercial environments and can operate with minimal supervision.\nProjects may include office buildings, event venues, warehouses, and other commercial spaces.\nResponsibilities\nInstall, terminate, and test Ethernet (Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A) cabling\n\nMount and install network equipment (switches, access points, patch panels, racks)\n\nPerform cable management and labeling to industry standards\n\nAssist with WiFi access point placement and installation\n\nTroubleshoot basic connectivity and cabling issues\n\nFollow site safety rules and maintain a clean work area\n\nCommunicate clearly with project leads and clients on-site\n\nRequirements\nProven experience as a network installer or low-voltage technician\n\nMust be able to work as a 1099 independent contractor\n\nMust have all required tools, including (but not limited to):\nPunch-down tools\n\nCable testers\n\nCrimpers\n\nToner/tracer\n\nLadders (where applicable)\n\nMust have reliable transportation to job sites\n\nAbility to read basic network diagrams and floor plans\n\nComfortable working on ladders and lifts (certifications a plus)\n\nProfessional appearance and customer-facing communication skills\n\nPreferred (Nice to Have)\nBICSI, CompTIA Network+, or similar certifications\n\nExperience with wireless access point installs (Ubiquiti, Meraki, Aruba, etc.)\n\nLift certifications (scissor lift, boom lift)\n\nExperience in event, hospitality, or large-venue
