Founded in 2022, we are supported by leading investors including S32, Breyer Capital, Founders Fund, and JSL Health Capital. \nRole Overview\nWe are in search of an AI Scientist to join our computational team, where our core work spans three domains: Artificial Intelligence, Bioinformatics and Software Engineering. If you’re looking to join a core group of highly motivated, versatile professionals with demonstrated expertise in applications of artificial intelligence for biomedical discovery, please read on.\nThe Domains We Navigate\n1. Machine Learning: \nDesign, optimize, and validate deep-learning models for high-dimensional biological data including histopathological slides, spatial transcriptomics, and structured clinical datasets.\nTranslate biological insights into modeling strategies.\nSupport model interpretability, robustness, and validation in regulated or translational research contexts.\n2. Agentic AI:\nArchitect and build agentic AI systems that reason over multiple steps, plan autonomously, and orchestrate external tools.\nDevelop LLM-driven agents that retrieve, prioritize, and synthesize evidence with memory and feedback loops that let them revise hypotheses and adapt as new data emerges.\nEngineer production-grade infrastructure that unifies structured and unstructured biomedical data at scale, and rigorously assess the robustness, reliability, and interpretability of autonomous systems operating in high-stakes clinical contexts.\n3. Software Engineering:\nApply software engineering best practices to ensure reproducible and efficient scientific discovery.\nDevelop tools and services that support experiment tracking, reproducibility and quality control.\nPerform software validation and documentation in research or regulated diagnostic contexts.\nHow We Work\nWe believe a small team can operate with speed, precision and efficiency by leveraging modern productivity tools. We expect you to:\nBroaden Knowledge Base: Harness new biological concepts and technical skills outside your primary expertise rapidly.\nAccelerate with Logic: Leverage AI coding agents for implementation and testing. You focus on architectural rigor and system logic.\nThink Critically: Act as the ultimate auditor to identify subtle AI-generated hallucinations in code or scientific reasoning before they reach our systems.\nWho You Are\nFirst-author contribution to state of the art AI model publications in competitive journals or conferences.\nProven ability to drive end-to-end development on major projects.\nPh.D. in Machine Learning, Bioinformatics, or a related field. This represents a good-faith estimate of what we reasonably expect to pay for this role; actual compensation will depend on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. This range does not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
