match\nOvertime opportunities\nGrowth opportunities\nKey Responsibilities\nOperate HDD locating equipment (Ditch Witch, DigiTrak, Subsite, Vermeer, or similar) to accurately track the drill head and monitor bore progress. with.\nRead and interpret bore plans, construction drawings, utility locates, and project specifications.\nAssist with bore planning, including entry and exit points, bore path, depth, and alignment.\nMonitor drill head location, depth, pitch, roll, and bore direction throughout drilling operations.\nCommunicate effectively with the Drill Operator and crew to maintain proper bore alignment and production.\nIdentify and communicate potential underground utility conflicts and jobsite hazards.\nLead daily directional drilling operations and provide direction to crew members.\nCoordinate daily activities, manpower, equipment, materials, and jobsite requirements.\nEnsure crew members follow company, OSHA, customer, and jobsite safety requirements.\nInspect equipment and tooling before and during operations and report maintenance or safety concerns.\nMonitor drilling conditions and communicate changes that may affect production or bore quality.\nAssist with mud mixing, drilling fluid management, tooling changes, and general directional drilling operations as needed.\nCoordinate potholing and utility exposure prior to and during drilling operations.\nMaintain accurate daily production records, bore logs, and other required documentation.\nCommunicate with Construction Managers, Superintendent, Project Managers, inspectors, customers, and other field personnel.\nEnsure work is completed according to approved plans, specifications, and project requirements.\nAssist with equipment mobilization, demobilization, setup, and cleanup.\nPerform general labor and crew-support duties when needed.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.\nPerform other duties as assigned to support daily construction operations.\nRequired Qualifications\nMinimum 3 years of directional drill locating experience preferred.\nExperience working on underground utility, telecommunications, fiber optic, or similar construction projects.\nStrong understanding of horizontal directional drilling operations and bore locating.\nAbility to accurately track and communicate drill head location and bore path.\nAbility to read and understand construction drawings, bore profiles, utility locates, and site plans.\nPrevious crew leadership or Foreman experience preferred.\nStrong knowledge of underground utility construction practices and jobsite
