The position requires a technically strong finance professional with experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, tax and general accounting processes.Key Responsibilities\nCoordinate the month-end reporting process, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations and month-end journals.\nMaintain and reconcile the general ledger and ensure financial transactions are accurately recorded and classified.\nPrepare half-year and year-end reporting packs and annual financial statements.\nProvide support during internal and external audits, including responding to audit queries and assisting with audit adjustments and findings.\nManage intercompany receivables, employee reimbursements, fixed asset verification and internal loan administration.\nManage annual budgets and periodic forecasts, monitor performance and identify variances.\nReview corporate income tax obligations and prepare/reconcile VAT schedules and VAT returns.\nAssist with transfer pricing documentation and liaise with SARS and tax advisors when required.\nPrepare financial information and reports for management presentations and ad hoc requirements.\nJob Experience and Skills Required\nBCom degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.\n3-5 years' relevant experience in a finance/accounting role, including experience in a supervisory or functional/specialist capacity.\nCA(SA) or relevant professional qualification will be advantageous.\nStrong experience in financial reporting, general ledger reconciliations and month-end processes.\nExperience with budgets, forecasts and variance analysis.\nWorking knowledge of South African tax, VAT and related statutory requirements.\nUnderstanding of IFRS and financial reporting principles.\nStrong MS Office skills, particularly Excel.\nExperience with ERP/accounting systems and financial reporting systems.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, reporting and communication skills.\nAbility to work with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and tax advisors.\nHigh level of accuracy, integrity and attention to detail.\nApply now!\n\nFor more exciting Finance / Engineering / IT vacancies, please visit: http://www.networkcontracting.co.za\nIf you have not had any response in two weeks, please consider the vacancy application unsuccessful.
