This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced UAV technologies while engaging with defence, security, government, and commercial clients in diverse operational environments.\nDuties & Responsibilities\nKey Responsibilities\nUAV Operations\n\nConduct safe and professional UAV flight operations for demonstrations, testing, training, and operational requirements.\n\nPerform pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight procedures and inspections.\n\nConduct operational risk assessments and ensure compliance with aviation and safety regulations.\n\nMaintain flight logs, operational records, and equipment documentation.\n\nMonitor operational and environmental conditions and report technical issues or equipment failures.\n\nSupport the maintenance, preparation, storage, and transportation of UAV equipment.\n\nCustomer Demonstrations & Engagement\n\nConduct professional UAV product demonstrations for prospective and existing customers.\n\nPresent UAV capabilities, applications, operational benefits, and safety requirements.\n\nSupport customer engagements, exhibitions, conferences, and trade events.\n\nWork closely with business development and technical teams to deliver effective customer solutions.\n\nGather and communicate customer feedback to relevant stakeholders.\n\nTraining & End-User Development\n\nDevelop and deliver UAV operator training programmes.\n\nConduct both classroom-based and practical flight training.\n\nTrain operators on UAV system operation, safety procedures, mission planning, and emergency protocols.\n\nAssess trainee competency and provide coaching and ongoing support.\n\nPrepare training materials, presentations, assessments, and reports.\n\nMaintain accurate training attendance and competency records.\n\nRegional Operations\n\nTravel extensively throughout Africa and internationally as required.\n\nSupport customer deployments, demonstrations, training programmes, and operational activities.\n\nAdapt to diverse cultural, geographical, and operational environments.\n\nEnsure compliance with country-specific aviation, customs, immigration, and security requirements.\n\nMinimum Requirements\n\nRelevant UAV/Drone Pilot qualification or certification.\n\nPractical UAV flying experience with professional or commercial UAV systems.\n\nExperience conducting UAV demonstrations and/or technical training.\n\nFluent in English and French (written and spoken).\n\nValid passport and willingness to travel extensively.\n\nValid driver's licence.\n\nStrong presentation, communication, and customer engagement skills.\n\nAdvantageous\n\nPortuguese language proficiency.\n\nMilitary, defence, security, surveillance, or specialised UAV experience.\n\nExperience working within African markets.\n\nExperience training military, law enforcement, security, or commercial operators.\n\nFormal instructor/trainer qualification.\n\nAviation, engineering, or technical qualification.\n\nExperience with advanced UAV platforms, payload systems, mapping, surveillance, reconnaissance, and inspection applications.\n\nKey Competencies\n\nUAV piloting and flight planning.\n\nUAV safety, risk management, and compliance.\n\nTraining and facilitation skills.\n\nCustomer engagement and presentation skills.\n\nStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.\n\nExcellent communication and report-writing skills.\n\nCultural awareness and adaptability.\n\nProfessionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.\n\nAbility to perform effectively in high-pressure and rapidly changing environments.\n\nPlease note: If you do not receive a response within two (2) weeks of the closing date, kindly consider your application unsuccessful.
