This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong technical knowledge, excellent analytical skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities: \nFinancial Accounting and Reporting\nProcess financial transactions, including loan interest, depreciation, projects and other accounting entries.\nPrepare and process accruals and provisions accurately and timeously.\nPerform month-end foreign exchange valuations.\nMaintain accurate accounting records in accordance with IFRS and company policies.\nReconciliations and Financial Controls\nReconcile account balances to supporting documentation.\nReconcile intercompany accounts, including loans, debtors and creditors.\nInvestigate and clear suspense account balances, ensuring all outstanding items are adequately reconciled and explained.\nMaintain strong financial controls and identify discrepancies requiring corrective action.\nFixed Asset Management\nPrepare and maintain the fixed asset register.\nRecord and document asset acquisitions, transfers, disposals and movements.\nEnsure fixed asset records are accurate, complete and compliant with company policies.\nVAT and Statutory Compliance\nPrepare and submit VAT201 returns within the required deadlines.\nReconcile VAT schedules to the accounting system and financial records.\nAssist with VAT verification audits and respond to SARS queries.\nPrepare and submit annual Exchange Control (Excon) returns.\nProvide statutory reports and financial information as required.\nBudgeting and Financial Planning\nAssist with the preparation and compilation of annual budgets.\nProvide financial information and analysis to support business planning and decision-making.\nAudit and Compliance\nPrepare supporting documentation and maintain accurate records for internal and external audits.\nEnsure compliance with IFRS, financial policies, internal procedures and statutory requirements.\nContribute to the improvement of financial processes and controls.\n Job Experience and Skills Required:\nBCom Degree in Accounting.\nMinimum of 5 years' relevant accounting experience in a similar role.\nProven experience in financial accounting, reconciliations, fixed asset management, VAT administration, budgeting and statutory reporting.\nExperience preparing financial statements and supporting external audits.\nStrong knowledge of IFRS and financial controls.\nExperience using Pastel and/or Xero.\nApply now!\nFor more exciting (Finance/ Engineering/ IT / Supply Chain / Commercial & C-Suite) vacancies, please visit: https://www.networkrecruitmentinternational.com/\nIf you have not had any response in two weeks, please consider the vacancy application unsuccessful.
