This opportunity is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys being involved in the day-to-day accounting function while ensuring the integrity of financial records, maintaining accurate reconciliations, and supporting month-end reporting processes.\nThe successful candidate will play a key role in managing accounting activities across the property portfolio while working closely with stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.\nKey Responsibilities\nFinancial Accounting & Trial Balance Management\nProcess and maintain accounting records up to trial balance.\nEnsure the accuracy and integrity of general ledger accounts.\nProcess supplier invoices and ensure accurate coding and allocation.\nMaintain complete and accurate financial records across the portfolio.\nReconciliations & Financial Controls\nPerform monthly bank reconciliations.\nReconcile intercompany loan accounts across multiple group entities.\nReview and reconcile creditor statements and resolve reconciling items.\nEnsure all balance sheet accounts are accurately reconciled and supported.\nMaintain strong financial controls and governance procedures.\nProperty Accounting\nManage utility reconciliations, including water, electricity, and tenant recoveries.\nProcess and monitor intercompany transactions.\nEnsure the accuracy of property-related financial information.\nSupport the financial administration of multiple properties within the portfolio.\nMonth-End Reporting\nPerform month-end procedures, including:Journals\nAccruals\nPrepayments\nIntercompany entries\n\nAssist with management reporting and month-end close activities.\nEnsure reporting deadlines are met accurately and timeously.\nSystems & Reporting\nMaintain the accuracy and integrity of financial information on the MDA Property Management System.\nUtilise Power BI to support reporting and financial analysis requirements.\nAssist in enhancing reporting efficiency and data visibility across the finance function.\nRequirements\nQualifications\nBCom Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.\nExperience\nMinimum 3-5 years' experience in a similar accounting role.\nPrevious property industry experience is essential.\nStrong accounting experience up to trial balance.\nExposure to multi-entity accounting environments will be advantageous.\nTechnical Skills\n MDA Property Management System experience (essential).\n Power BI experience (essential).\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills.\nStrong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.\nExcellent reconciliation and problem-solving skills.\nKey Competencies\nThe ideal candidate will demonstrate:Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.\nStrong organisational and time-management abilities.\nAnalytical thinking and problem-solving skills.\nThe ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.\nA proactive and solutions-driven approach.\nStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.\nWhy Consider This Opportunity?\nThis is an excellent opportunity to join a respected property investment business where you'll gain exposure to a diverse property portfolio and play an integral role in maintaining financial accuracy and control.
