A growing financial services environment is looking for an Accounting Clerk - Payments & Reconciliations to join its finance team.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for someone who is confident working with EFT payments, bank reconciliations, supplier payments and accounting systems, and who takes pride in getting the detail right.\nThis role is based in Irene, Centurion.\nKey Responsibilities:\nClient EFT Payments\nProcess client EFT payments accurately and within required turnaround times.\nVerify payment instructions, beneficiary details and supporting documentation.\nEnsure payments comply with internal approval procedures and controls.\nInvestigate and resolve rejected payments, discrepancies and outstanding transactions.\nMaintain accurate payment records and supporting documentation.\nEscalate unusual transactions, risks or discrepancies when required.\nDaily ReconciliationsPerform daily bank, client and financial account reconciliations.\nReconcile transactions between banking platforms, internal systems and accounting records.\nInvestigate unidentified transactions and reconciling items.\nFollow up on outstanding items and ensure discrepancies are resolved timeously.\nMaintain accurate reconciliation schedules and supporting documentation.\nSupplier PaymentsProcess supplier payments in line with approved procedures and payment terms.\nVerify invoices, banking details and supporting documentation.\nEnsure payments have the appropriate authorisation before release.\nAssist with supplier account reconciliations and payment queries.\nLiaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve discrepancies.\nBank Imports & Accounting AdministrationImport daily bank statements and transactions into the accounting system.\nEnsure bank imports are complete, accurate and processed within deadlines.\nVerify that transactions are correctly reflected in the accounting records.\nInvestigate import errors, duplicate transactions and unmatched entries.\nGeneral Finance SupportMaintain accurate and confidential financial records.\nFollow company policies, financial controls and established procedures.\nProvide general accounting and administrative support to the finance team as required.\nJob Experience and Skills Required:\nMatric / Grade 12 is essential.\nPrevious experience in an accounting or finance administration role.\nExperience with EFT payments and bank reconciliations will be highly advantageous.\nExposure to accounting software and online banking platforms.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications.\nA relevant Accounting or Finance qualification/certificate, or studies towards one, will be advantageous.\nApply now!\nFor more exciting (Finance/ Engineering/ IT / Supply Chain / Commercial & C-Suite) vacancies, please visit: https://www.networkrecruitmentinternational.com/\nIf you have not had any response in two weeks, please consider the vacancy application unsuccessful.
