Our client, a well-established mining operation in Botswana, is seeking a Senior Mine Surveyor to lead and manage the survey department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate survey data, maintaining statutory compliance, supporting mine planning activities, and overseeing the performance of the survey team in a challenging underground mining environment.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Surveying, Mining Engineering, or related discipline.
- Professional Surveyor registration/licence in Botswana will be advantageous.
- Valid Mine Surveyor certification will be beneficial.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Minimum 7 years' experience in underground mine surveying.
- Proven experience managing and leading survey teams.
- Strong knowledge of underground mining survey practices and standards.
- Proficient in the use of Total Stations and mine surveying software.
- Ability to produce accurate survey reports and maintain survey records.
- Excellent planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Willingness to work on-site in Botswana on an expatriate basis.
