The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering electrical, control and instrumentation engineering solutions across industrial and process-related projects.This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with 3-5 years of ECI engineering experience who is looking to take ownership of technical deliverables and work on challenging multidisciplinary projects.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nExecute Electrical, Control and Instrumentation (ECI) engineering activities throughout project lifecycles.\nDevelop electrical and instrumentation designs, specifications and engineering documentation.\nPrepare and review:Single-line diagrams\nSchematics\nCable schedules\nInstrument indexes\nI/O lists\nInstrument data sheets\nEquipment specifications\nControl philosophies\n\nPerform electrical load calculations, cable sizing and equipment selection.\nDevelop and review instrumentation and control system designs.\nSpecify and select electrical, instrumentation and control equipment.\nLiaise with mechanical, process, piping, civil and other engineering disciplines.\nProvide technical input during design reviews and project meetings.\nAssist with procurement, vendor document reviews and technical evaluations.\nConduct technical inspections and provide engineering support during construction and commissioning.\nSupport FAT, SAT, commissioning and troubleshooting activities where required.\nEnsure engineering deliverables comply with applicable standards, client specifications and project requirements.\nParticipate in site surveys and project implementation activities.\nPrepare technical reports, calculations and engineering documentation.\nProvide technical support to clients and project teams.\nREQUIREMENTS\nBEng / BSc / BTech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.\n3-5 years' relevant ECI engineering experience within an engineering consultancy, EPC/EPCM environment or industrial organisation.\nExperience working on industrial, mining, manufacturing, energy, water, chemical or process plant projects.\nStrong understanding of electrical engineering principles and industrial instrumentation.\nExperience with electrical and instrumentation design and documentation.\nAbility to interpret P&IDs, electrical drawings and control system documentation.\nKnowledge of applicable electrical and instrumentation standards.\nExperience working within multidisciplinary project teams.\nStrong technical report-writing and documentation skills.\nProficiency in relevant engineering software and design tools.\nValid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites when required.\nADVANTAGEOUS EXPERIENCE\nExperience with PLC, SCADA and DCS systems.\nExperience with ETAP, EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical or similar engineering software.\nExperience with industrial communication networks.\nKnowledge of VSDs, MCCs, motor control and protection systems.\nExperience with instrumentation including pressure, flow, temperature and level measurement.\nExperience with hazardous-area installations.\nExposure to IEC, SANS, ISA and other relevant engineering standards.\nPlease send your cv to
