Junior Electrical Engineer

The successful candidate will work alongside experienced engineers on a variety of projects, contributing to technical solutions while developing their knowledge of electrical engineering systems, industry standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical engineering design, calculations, drawings and technical documentation.
• Support the development of electrical layouts, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Assist with the preparation of technical specifications, bills of materials and equipment schedules.
• Participate in project planning, coordination and execution.
• Assist with the selection of electrical components, equipment and materials.
• Support installation, inspection, testing and commissioning activities.
• Conduct technical investigations, fault-finding and troubleshooting under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Ensure engineering designs and deliverables comply with relevant standards, specifications and safety regulations.
• Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, contractors and clients when required.
• Maintain accurate engineering records and project documentation.
• Stay up to date with electrical engineering technologies, industry developments and best practices.

Minimum Requirements

• BEng, BSc Eng or BTech in Electrical Engineering.
• 0-3 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Sound understanding of electrical engineering principles.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical specifications.
• Basic knowledge of electrical design, calculations and equipment selection.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Exposure to electrical design software such as AutoCAD, EPLAN or similar will be advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and numerical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites, if required.
