industry.You'll be involved in designing, improving, and supporting gearbox and geared drive solutions while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver world-class engineering projects.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign and develop gearbox and gear system components and assemblies\nPerform detailed mechanical calculations and engineering analysis\nGenerate and review manufacturing drawings and technical documentation\nSupport gearbox upgrades, refurbishments, and new product development initiatives\nConduct root cause and failure analysis on mechanical components\nLiaise with manufacturing, quality, sales, and service teams to ensure successful project execution\nProvide technical support to customers and internal stakeholders\nEnsure designs comply with relevant engineering standards and best practices\nRequirements\nBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering\nMinimum 5 years' experience in mechanical design engineering\nProven experience working with gearboxes, geared drives, or power transmission systems\nStrong understanding of gear design principles, bearings, shafts, lubrication systems, and rotating equipment\nProficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, or similar packages\nExperience conducting engineering calculations and mechanical analysis\nExcellent problem-solving and technical communication skills\nAdvantageous Experience\nExperience within mining, heavy industrial, manufacturing, or power generation environments\nExposure to finite element analysis (FEA)\nKnowledge of gearbox
