Responsibilities\nDesign, implement, maintain, and scale OpenStack-based cloud infrastructure.\nManage and optimize distributed storage platforms such as Ceph.\nAutomate infrastructure deployment and support during critical incidents when required.\nMinimum Requirements\nTechnical Skills\nProven experience operating and managing open-source infrastructure environments.\nHands-on experience with OpenStack administration, implementation, troubleshooting, or operations.\nExperience with Ceph or similar distributed storage platforms.\nStrong Linux systems administration and troubleshooting expertise.\nUnderstanding of virtualization and cloud infrastructure technologies at scale.\nExperience with data-centre hardware, including:Enterprise servers\nCPUs and memory\nStorage technologies\nNetwork interface cards (NICs)\nFirmware management\nOut-of-band management solutions\n\nNetworking\nStrong networking fundamentals.\nExperience or exposure to:OVN\nOpen vSwitch (OVS)\nBGP\nLACP\nIPv4 and IPv6\nVirtual and physical cloud networking\nJuniper networking environments (advantageous)\n\nAutomation & Infrastructure as Code\nExperience with Infrastructure as Code and automation practices.\nExposure to tools such as:Terraform\nAnsible\nRundeck\n\nCommitment to repeatable, version-controlled automation rather than manual processes.\nOperations & Reliability\nStrong problem-solving abilities across: Compute environments\nStorage platforms\nPhysical and virtual networking\nDatabases\nMessage queues\nContainers\nHypervisors\nGuest workloads\n\nSRE-focused mindset with an emphasis on: Reducing operational risk\nImproving reliability\nMinimizing recovery times\nProtecting data integrity\n\nRequired Competencies\nStrong ownership
