Project Engineer (Mechanical)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and execute multidisciplinary engineering projects from inception to completion.
• Coordinate project schedules, budgets, procurement activities, and technical deliverables.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, contractors, and internal engineering teams.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and project management standards.
• Oversee equipment installation, commissioning, and site activities.
• Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Provide technical support and leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare progress reports and communicate project status to stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements

• BEng/BSc/BTech in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' Project Engineering experience within the Mining, Mineral Processing, or Bulk Materials Handling industry.
• Proven experience managing engineering projects from design through commissioning.
• Strong understanding of process plants, materials handling systems, and associated equipment.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams.
• Excellent communication, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel to sites when required.

Advantageous Experience

• Exposure to crushing, screening, conveying, beneficiation, or process plant projects.
• Knowledge of EPCM or turnkey project environments.
• Project management certification or formal project management training.
