exciting opportunity is available for a highly skilled Senior Electronic Embedded Engineer to join a technology-driven engineering environment focused on the design, development and integration of advanced electronic and embedded systems.The successful candidate will be responsible for developing embedded hardware and firmware solutions, contributing to the full product development lifecycle, and ensuring that electronic systems meet demanding performance, reliability and quality requirements.\nThis position is suited to an experienced engineer with strong electronic design capabilities, embedded software development expertise and a passion for solving complex engineering challenges.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop and integrate embedded electronic systems, including hardware and firmware.\nDevelop, test and maintain embedded software for microcontrollers and other embedded platforms.\nPerform electronic circuit design, component selection, schematic capture and PCB design or review.\nDevelop firmware in C and/or C++ for embedded applications.\nWork with microcontrollers, processors, communication interfaces and peripheral devices.\nConduct hardware bring-up, debugging, fault-finding and system-level troubleshooting.\nPerform verification, validation and testing to ensure product functionality, performance and reliability.\nIntegrate electronic hardware, embedded firmware, sensors and communication modules.\nAnalyse technical problems and implement effective engineering solutions.\nCollaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.\nProduce and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, test procedures and engineering reports.\nSupport prototype development, product optimisation and the transition from development into production.\nIdentify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.\nProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers where required.\nMinimum Requirements\nBEng, BSc Eng or equivalent degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.\nSignificant experience in electronic hardware design and embedded systems development.\nStrong programming skills in embedded C and/or C++.\nExperience working with microcontrollers, embedded processors and peripheral interfaces.\nSolid understanding of electronic circuit design, digital electronics and analogue electronics.\nExperience with hardware debugging, firmware development, integration and system testing.\nAbility to interpret schematics, datasheets, technical specifications and engineering documentation.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work independently and contribute effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.\nAdvantageous Experience\nPCB design and electronic CAD tools.\nExperience with ARM Cortex-M, STM32 or similar microcontroller platforms.\nKnowledge of communication protocols such as SPI, I²C, UART, CAN, USB or Ethernet.\nExperience with RTOS-based embedded systems.\nFamiliarity with hardware debugging tools, including oscilloscopes, logic analysers and debugging probes.\nExperience with hardware-software integration, system verification and validation.\nKnowledge of bootloaders, device drivers, low-level firmware and power management.\nExperience with EMC/EMI considerations, electronic product compliance and environmental testing.\nExposure to industrial, mining, automotive, defence, aerospace or other technically demanding applications.\nExperience taking electronic products from concept and prototyping through to leadership and support the development of junior engineers.\nThe Ideal Candidate\nThe ideal candidate is an experienced Electronic Engineer who combines strong hardware design knowledge with practical embedded firmware development experience.
