This is not a traditional project management role. The successful candidate must combine strong programme leadership with sufficient technical depth to challenge designs, identify hidden dependencies, evaluate technical risks, and guide specialist teams toward successful delivery.You will be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of infrastructure workstreams, ensuring governance, programme controls, technical coordination, and operational readiness throughout the programme lifecycle. Working closely with internal teams, architects, engineers, vendors, and executive stakeholders, you will drive delivery across critical infrastructure domains while maintaining a strong focus on resilience, security, compliance, and operational continuity.\nThis role is ideal for a technology leader who has progressed from infrastructure engineering, architecture, cloud, networking, or operations into programme leadership and thrives within complex enterprise environments.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead the end-to-end delivery of a large-scale enterprise infrastructure programme.\nDevelop and manage integrated programme plans, milestones, dependencies, and critical paths.\nCoordinate infrastructure, identity, messaging, networking, security, migration, and operational readiness workstreams.\nDrive governance, risk management, quality assurance, and delivery controls across the programme.\nLead technical workshops, architecture reviews, readiness assessments, and cutover planning activities.\nManage vendors, service providers, and specialist technology teams to ensure successful delivery outcomes.\nIdentify, escalate, and resolve cross-functional programme risks and dependencies.\nEnsure infrastructure solutions meet resilience, security, compliance, and operational requirements.\nOversee migration activities, cutovers, hypercare support, and transition to business-as-usual operations.\nTranslate technical complexity into clear executive reporting and decision-making insights.\nChallenge designs, assumptions, and delivery approaches to improve programme outcomes.\nEnsure operational acceptance criteria, monitoring, documentation, rollback procedures, and support models are in place before production deployment.\nJob Experience and Skills Required\nBachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.\nPostgraduate qualification in Technology Management, Programme Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline will be advantageous.\nMinimum 10 years of experience within enterprise infrastructure, technology operations, engineering, architecture, or technical delivery environments.\nMinimum 5 years of experience leading complex infrastructure programmes or large-scale infrastructure workstreams.\nProven experience delivering full programme lifecycles from discovery and design through migration, cutover, operational handover, and business-as-usual support.\nExperience managing large-scale, multi-vendor environments and complex stakeholder landscapes.\nExperience within highly regulated, high-availability, security-sensitive, or mission-critical environments.\nProven experience presenting to executive leadership, steering committees, risk forums, and governance boards.\nDemonstrated success recovering delayed or high-risk technology programmes.\nEnterprise infrastructure and data centre technologies.\nMicrosoft Exchange, Exchange Online, and messaging environments.\nActive Directory, Entra ID, and hybrid identity solutions.\nEnterprise networking, connectivity, and security.\nCloud and hybrid infrastructure environments.\nIdentity and Access Management (IAM).\nPrivileged Access Management (PAM).\nPKI, certificates, keys, and secrets management.\nInfrastructure integrations and enterprise connectivity.\nCybersecurity and compliance frameworks.\nDisaster recovery and business continuity planning.\nIT service management and operational readiness.\nInfrastructure migration, cutover, and transition planning.\nPMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMI-PgMP, MSP Practitioner, SAFe, or equivalent programme management certification\nITIL 4 Foundation or higher.\nMicrosoft Azure certifications.\nMicrosoft Exchange, Identity, Security, or Microsoft 365 certifications.\nAWS or Google Cloud certifications.\nCisco CCNP or equivalent networking certification.\nTOGAF or other recognised architecture certifications.\nCybersecurity certifications aligned to ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, or similar
