Responsibilities\nLead the mechanical design of bulk materials handling systems for mining and industrial projects.\nDesign and specify conveyors (overland, underground, and plant conveyors), transfer stations, chutes, bins, silos, hoppers, stackers, reclaimers, feeders, crushers, and associated equipment.\nPerform equipment sizing, conveyor calculations, chute flow analysis, material handling studies, and mechanical equipment selection.\nDevelop engineering calculations, technical specifications, datasheets, design reports, and scope of work documentation.\nReview and approve detailed engineering drawings, 3D models, layouts, and fabrication documentation.\nEnsure designs comply with relevant international and South African engineering standards and client specifications.\nProvide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and intermediate engineers and designers.\nCoordinate with civil, structural, electrical, process, and project engineering disciplines.\nParticipate in HAZOPs, design reviews, constructability reviews, FATs, and commissioning activities.\nProvide engineering support during procurement, fabrication, construction, installation, and commissioning.\nInterface directly with clients, contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.\nManage engineering deliverables, budgets, schedules, and technical quality.\nMinimum Requirements\nBEng or BSc Mechanical Engineering.\nMinimum 5 years' experience in mechanical engineering with significant exposure to bulk materials handling systems.\nProven experience delivering projects within the mining, minerals processing, ports, power generation, or heavy industrial sectors.\nStrong knowledge of:Belt conveyor systems\nConveyor drive systems\nTransfer chute design\nStorage and reclaim systems\nCrushers and feeders\nDust suppression and material flow\nMechanical equipment selection\n\nExperience producing engineering calculations, equipment specifications, and technical reports.\nAbility to manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously.\nStrong communication, leadership, and client relationship management skills.\nPlease send your
