Here is your opportunity to take ownership of a high-impact environment where data powers operational, financial, and customer decisions every day.\nJoin a growing telecommunications organisation as a Senior / Principal Software Engineer - Data Platform, where you will lead the design, reliability, and evolution of a modern data ecosystem spanning cloud infrastructure, warehouse technologies, APIs, and large-scale data integrations.\nDuties & Responsibilities\nKey Duties & Responsibilities\n\nOwn and enhance a mission-critical PostgreSQL data warehouse and integration platform.\n\nDesign, build, and maintain data ingestion pipelines and scheduled cloud-based load jobs.\n\nLead the development and maintenance of platform APIs consumed by internal applications.\n\nEnsure data integrity, availability, security, and performance across production environments.\n\nDrive engineering best practices, code reviews, testing standards, and platform governance.\n\nInvestigate and resolve platform incidents while implementing preventative improvements.\n\nMentor developers and contribute to technical leadership across multiple systems.\n\nPartner closely with operations, finance, billing, and network teams to ensure data accuracy and business continuity.\n\nTech Stack\nYou will be working extensively with:\n\nPostgreSQL\n\nSQL\n\nNode.js\n\nPython\n\nGoogle Cloud Platform (Cloud SQL, Cloud Run, Cloud Scheduler, Secret Manager, IAM)\n\nFirebase Authentication\n\nMicrosoft Graph\n\nGitHub & CI/CD practices\n\nEssential Skills, Qualifications, Experience\n\n8+ years of professional software engineering experience.\n\nProven experience owning and supporting production data platforms, integration layers, or similar enterprise systems.\n\nStrong hands-on expertise in Node.js, Python, SQL, and PostgreSQL.\n\nExperience designing and supporting cloud-based scheduled jobs and data pipelines.\n\nStrong understanding of security, environment management, access control, and software delivery practices.\n\nExperience mentoring developers and driving engineering standards.\n\nExcellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.\n\nAdvantageous Experience\n\nTelecommunications, ISP, OSS/BSS, billing, fibre network, or operational data environments.\n\nGoogle Cloud certifications such as Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Data Engineer.\n\nExposure to C#, Java, Go, or Rust.\n\nWhy Apply?\nThis is more than a development role.
