The successful candidate will be responsible for executing manual and automated testing activities, identifying defects, validating business requirements, and ensuring the quality of digital payment and financial services products before release.\nThe ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in manual testing while demonstrating an interest in automation testing. Exposure to Playwright with TypeScript and modern test automation practices will be highly advantageous, as the role provides opportunities to contribute to both manual and automated quality assurance activities.\nKey Responsibilities:\nTest Planning & Execution: \nReview and understand business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.\nCreate and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test checklists.\nPerform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and API testing.\nValidate web and mobile application functionality.\nExecute testing activities within sprint timelines and release cycles.\nEnsure testing evidence is captured and maintained.\nDefect Management \nLog defects clearly and accurately using Jira or similar defect management tools.\nReproduce and document defects with detailed evidence and clear reproduction steps.\nRetest fixes and verify successful resolution.\nAssist in tracking defects through to closure.\nEscalate risks and quality concerns where required.\nQuality Assurance Activities \nParticipate in requirement reviews and Agile ceremonies.\nEnsure delivered solutions meet business and quality expectations.\nSupport User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities where required.\nMaintain test documentation and execution records.\nAssist in creating and maintaining test plans and test suites.\nAutomation Testing \nSupport the development and execution of automated test scripts.\nAssist in maintaining automation frameworks and test suites.\nLearn and apply automation best practices under guidance from senior team members.\nContribute to automation initiatives aimed at improving test coverage and efficiency.\nParticipate in automation code reviews where applicable.\nCollaboration \nWork closely with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and QA team members.\nParticipate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.\nCommunicate testing progress, risks, defects, and blockers effectively.\nContribute to a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence.\nContinuous Improvement \nContribute ideas to improve QA processes and testing efficiency.\nContinuously develop testing and automation skills.\nStay informed of industry trends, emerging tools, and testing best practices.\nParticipate in knowledge-sharing activities within the team.\nMinimum Requirements\nEducation\nDiploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.\nISTQB Foundation Certification or equivalent would be advantageous.\nRelevant QA certifications will be an added advantage.\nExperience\n1 to 2 years of software testing experience in web, mobile, or API applications.\nExperience in a Fintech, Payments, Banking, or E-commerce environment would be advantageous.\nExposure to automated testing is highly desirable.\nExperience with Playwright and TypeScript is considered a strong advantage.\nExperience executing API tests using Postman or similar tools is advantageous.\nExposure to Agile delivery methodologies is desirable.\nTechnical Skills\nEssential:\nUnderstanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).\nUnderstanding of software defect management processes.\nExperience creating and executing test cases and test scenarios.\nFamiliarity with Jira or similar test and defect management tools.\nBasic SQL knowledge for data validation.\nUnderstanding of web and mobile application testing principles.\nExperience with API testing using tools such as Postman.\nUnderstanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.\nAbility to analyse requirements and identify test conditions.\nAdvantageous\nExposure to test automation frameworks and automation testing concepts.\nExperience developing or maintaining automated test scripts.\nKnowledge of Playwright with TypeScript.\nExposure to Selenium, Cypress, Robot Framework, or similar automation tools.\nUnderstanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.\nFamiliarity with Git version control.\nKnowledge of payment systems, banking, fintech products, or e-commerce platforms.\nBasic understanding of cloud-based applications and modern
