You'll own reliability, automation, and security across a complex, regulated production environment handling live financial transactions. This is a hands-on senior role combining deep AWS expertise with a strong automation-first, infrastructure-as-code mindset.\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop and maintain procedures to comply with security policies and IT best practices\nDevelop and maintain documentation of systems configurations and procedures\nMonitor systems via applications, log files, Elk/OpenSearch and sanity checks\nActively work on building and migrating PayFast to Kubernetes.\nMaintain our configuration and build management systems\nDatabase maintenance and implementations\nServe as an escalation point to resolve problems in Servers and users’ environment\nWork closely with technical team members (cultural fit)\nMust be able to troubleshoot complex issues quickly and effectively\nResearch and evaluation of new technologies for our environment\nCI, Testing and release management\nFirewall Administration\nSecurity and incident response\nPatch management\nAgile working methods, agile planning, time management and planning/prioritisation skills\nRequirements:\nCertification (Bachelors / RHCE / ISO 27001/PCI) is a plus but not required\nHigh level of proficiency in Linux based OS\nCloud Infrastructure (AWS) Associated Certified is a must have\nContainers (Docker + Kubernetes)\nPipelines (Jenkins/Gitlab Ci)\nProficiency in a scripting language and application language: Bash, Python, PHP, Perl, Java , Go\nProven IaC experience in one of: SaltStack, Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Teraform\nWeb Servers (Apache, Nginx, fpm, node)\nLoad Balancers Experience\nKnowledge of Database technologies: AWS RDS (especially Maria and MySQL)\nNoSql DBs,pub/sub and Key/Value stores: Redis/mongo\nReplication technologies\nExperience in Networking: OSI, (AWS TGW and basic on prem OSI model)\nQueues - Rabbit, MQ\nNetwork International is an equal opportunity employer.
