The role is focused on the safe and efficient delivery of planned and reactive works on storage point assets including service reservoirs, water towers, booster stations, tanks, pumping assets, storage facilities and valve chambers. You will provide visible site leadership, coordinate teams and subcontractors, maintain client communication, and ensure that works are delivered in accordance with approved documentation, water hygiene requirements and Claret standards.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead site teams and coordinate day-to-day clean water maintenance activities, labour, plant, materials and specialist subcontractors.\nPlan and brief work using approved risk assessments, method statements, permits and task-specific controls.\nMaintain strong controls for water hygiene, confined-space interfaces, excavation, temporary works and safe access where applicable to the task. Reinforce a strong, clean water culture.\nCarry out site inspections, briefings, toolbox talks and assurance checks, and address hazards, defects, near misses and non-conformances promptly.\nEnsure records such as site diaries, photographs, permits, job sheets, asset information and handover documentation are accurate and complete.\nCoordinate with clients, site representatives and Claret management, providing clear progress updates and escalating delivery risks when required.\nMonitor workmanship, environmental controls and reinstatement to achieve a professional handover standard.\nDemonstrate positive leadership and ensure Claret procedures, client requirements and site rules are consistently followed.\nExperience and Qualifications\nEssential requirements\nProven supervisory or management experience within clean water, utilities, civil engineering, construction or infrastructure maintenance.\nAbility to lead operatives safely, plan work and communicate clear expectations through briefings and site coordination.\nGood understanding of risk assessment, method statements, permit systems, quality records and site documentation.\nStrong commitment to water hygiene, health and safety, quality and environmental standards.\nConfident client-facing communication and practical problem-solving skills.\nFull UK driving licence and willingness to travel between work locations and stay away where required.\n Desirable qualifications and experience\nEUSR National Water Hygiene (Blue Card).\nCSCS card.\nSSSTS or SMSTS, or an equivalent relevant supervisory/management qualification.\nNEBOSH or IOSH qualification in health and safety.\nConfined Spaces training (Medium risk, City & Guilds minimum).\nTemporary works awareness/co-ordination experience, First Aid, CAT and Genny, lifting or plant competence as relevant.\nExperience of service reservoirs, water towers, booster stations, tanks, valve chambers or comparable clean water infrastructure.\nExperience working on water company frameworks or regulated utility sites.\n About you\n You will be a practical and visible leader who sets standards rather than simply monitoring them.
