Operating within a defence and aerospace environment, the incumbent is responsible for supporting and developing technically credible engagements across complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.\n\n POSITION INFO:\n\n The Business Development Engineer must support the sales team in developing sophisticated technical capabilities into compelling value propositions, lead supplier and integration engagements, provide technical enablement to the internal sales team, and contribute to product compatibility and research initiatives. Occasional international travel is a requirement of the role. Qualifications Matric required Degree required A prestigious academic track record will be preferential 0 - 3 years' experience Skills and Abilities Proficiency in MS Office Suite Advanced written communication and document production Attention to detail and accuracy Display good interpersonal skills Commercially minded with a background in technical environments Ability to appropriately manage sensitive information with discretion Key Responsibilities Engagement with Suppliers Serve as the primary technical liaison between the organisation and its suppliers, OEMs, and technology partners throughout the procurement and integration lifecycle Managing Product Integration Timelines & Projects Act as the central point of coordination between internal engineering resources and the Sales team for all projects during integration phases. Support & Enablement to the Sales Team Provide the internal sales team with accurate, up-to-date knowledge and competitive positioning to enhance their client engagement effectiveness.
