The team is seeking a research professional who will have independent coverage and work closely to support the senior research analysts and portfolio manager in the group to drive performance.\nResponsibilities:\nFollow company activities, results, and valuations to make trading recommendations around current positions.\nGenerate new investment ideas to add performance and/or control risk.\nConduct primary analysis, maintain dialogue with company management teams, industry sources, and sell-side analysts.\nBuild and maintain in-depth fundamental models for each company; integrate those models into the team’s valuation framework and research management system.\nAssist the team in identifying areas of opportunity and/or risk in order to improve overall performance.\nSupport the team in marketing efforts internally and with clients/gatekeepers.\nTravel as needed for site visits, competitor analysis, and investment conferences.\nQualifications:\n2-5+ years of experience in financial analysis required.\nIn depth knowledge of one or two sectors/industries (the exact ones are of less importance) and exposure to international equity markets.\nForeign language or work experience a major plus, as is work experience outside of financial firms/ financial analysis.\nAbility to articulate (verbally and in writing) a clear and concise investment recommendation. \nOpenness to debate major issues is critical to success in this highly collaborative environment. Equally critical is the ability to move on after if/ when the team has a different point of view.\nAdvanced degree and/or CFA designation preferred.\nMust obtain Series 7 & 66 licenses within 6 months of employment if currently not held.\n\nApplicants must be authorized and have the right to work in the country where the role is located without the need for current or future sponsorship.Compensation Details\nThe salary range for this role is $125,000-$175,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, business sector, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, market benchmarking data, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, is part of our total comprehensive package.
