Job Summary:
The Mailroom Operator is responsible for operating high volume, envelope inserter equipment. Operator keeps work area in order and staged. Process high volume of mail daily
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate mailroom equipment
- Maintain accurate documentation and logs
- Perform accurate quality assurance checks
- Deliver mail to local post office
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent, machine experience a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong communication skills
- Strong attendance is a must
- Organized with the ability to multitask
- Strong attention to detail required
- Strong troubleshooting skills required
- Good computer and writing skills are a must
- Ability to stay focused and work in a team environment
- Strong ability to follow policy and procedures
- Ability to work in a team
- Valid driver’s license
Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Open-plan work area
Physical Demands
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for most of the day
- Will be standing on your feet most of the day
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
- This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office
- Will be lifting, carrying production stock, supplies, using a pallet jack
