This hands-on role combines mechanical assembly, basic IT and networking troubleshooting, inventory support, and equipment delivery to keep hardware in the field running reliably.\nSpecialists build and configure hardware from blueprints and specifications, diagnose whether a failure is mechanical, electrical, or software-related, and safely operate non-CDL trucks to deliver and recover equipment.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nAssemble, disassemble, troubleshoot, and repair hardware including registration printers, credit card readers, barcode scanners, journal and receipt printers, touchscreen monitors, battery back-ups, power controllers, USB devices, audio systems, and coin counters.\nAssemble hardware units from blueprints and specifications using precision tools, and install and configure internal components such as power supplies, sensors, and I/O boards.\nConfigure Windows OS settings, install and update hardware drivers, and use Device Manager to resolve resource conflicts or unrecognized components.\nSet up and test connectivity for integrated systems, including assigning static IP addresses, configuring subnet masks, and performing connectivity tests with command-line tools such as ping and ipconfig.\nDiagnose and replace faulty sub-assemblies, such as sensors, motors, or PC components, on returned equipment to restore full functionality.\nComplete Over-the-Counter (OTC) Salesforce tickets, including programming, testing, and preparing printers for shipment to the warehouse with correct configurations and contents.\nOrder parts internally using correct part numbers and descriptions, route them to the correct location, and navigate the internal parts and inventory management system (IMS) to research part numbers and descriptions.\nCount and track inventory usage and assist with quarterly inventory counts.\nSalvage decommissioned Self-Service Terminals (SSTs) by removing, cleaning, testing, and repackaging reusable hardware for return to stock.\nPerform SST proficiency tasks, including unboxing and organizing SST packing material, applying instructional and decorative decals, and conducting site surveys at potential installation sites.\nProvide support to Field Services and Quality Assurance, including supplying documentation, replacing faulty hardware, and relocating machines.\nSafely operate non-CDL trucks up to 26,000 lbs to deliver and recover equipment and secure and stage heavy hardware using proper tie-down techniques and material handling equipment.\nAttend and participate in team meetings, prepared to speak to assigned proficiencies.\nTravel: Up to 25%\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent; 0-2 years of hands-on technical, mechanical, or electronics experience; technical or vocational training in electronics, IT, or a mechanical trade is a plus.\nValid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR) and the ability to pass a DOT physical (all levels).\nExperience with kiosks, ATMs, POS, or other self-service/embedded devices.\nAn equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.\nPreferred:\nTechnical or vocational certification in electronics, IT (e.g., CompTIA A+), or a mechanical trade.\nAbility to determine whether a failure is mechanical, electrical, or software-related and escalate or resolve accordingly.\nStrong written communication skills, with experience producing technical documentation for internal and external audiences (Level III).\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nBasic hand and power tool proficiency (drills, saws, grinders, screwdrivers, wrenches, multimeters, crimpers).\nBasic wood fabrication and repair.\nWindows and hardware troubleshooting.\nBasic networking and IP configuration.\nMechanical assembly and blueprint reading.\nInventory tracking and parts ordering.\nSafe operation of large delivery vehicles.\nWork Environment\nThis is an onsite role in a warehouse and shop environment with exposure to varying temperatures and moderate to high noise from tools and equipment.\nTime is spent moving between a mechanical workbench, a PC configuration station, fabrication areas, and a loading dock, with frequent local travel to deliver, install, or recover equipment at customer sites.\n\nPhysical Requirements\nFrequently lift 50-75 lbs unassisted and participate in team lifts for loads exceeding 100 lbs.\nSafely drive and maneuver non-CDL trucks up to 26,000 lbs (up to 26’), with preference of passing the DOT physical.\nRemain standing, walking, and moving between work areas for extended periods.\nRegular use of hand tools, power tools, fabrication equipment, and computer equipment.\nNeumo Summary:\nWith the backing of four decades of public sector expertise and corporate capability, Neumo has successfully supported government services.
