As a Test & System Engineer - Quadruped, you will ensure the functionality, reliability, and safety of our quadruped robotic systems through structured system and hardware testing.\nYou will play a key role in validating robotic platforms before they pass critical quality gates and move into the next development or delivery phase. Working directly on real robot systems, you will execute integration tests, identify issues early, and collaborate closely with development and test automation teams to continuously improve product quality.\nSystem Testing & Validation\nPlan, prepare, and execute System Integration Tests (SIT) on NEURA's quadruped robots\n\nVerify functions, sensors, actuators, and communication interfaces across the complete robotic system\n\nPerform smoke and sanity tests as quality gates before SIT execution\n\nConduct end-to-end testing across hardware, software, electronics, and mechanical subsystems\n\nValidate system behavior, performance, reliability, and safety requirements\n\nDefect Management & Analysis\nIdentify, document, classify, and track defects using Jira and related test management tools\n\nCreate structured test reports, test result documentation, and defect analyses\n\nSupport root cause investigations together with development and engineering teams\n\nEnsure transparent communication of test status and product quality risks\n\nTest Infrastructure & Continuous Improvement\nDevelop and maintain test benches, test rigs, and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) environments\n\nCollaborate closely with Software Test Automation teams on automated test execution and CI/CD integration\n\nSupport acceptance testing, compliance validation, and product qualification activities\n\nContribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and quality standards\n\nWhat we can look forward to\nMust-have qualifications\nDegree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable technical field\n\nMinimum 2 years of professional experience in system testing, hardware testing, or integration testing\n\nSolid understanding of robotic system architectures, including sensors, actuators, control systems, and communication interfaces\n\nExperience with testing methodologies such as black-box, white-box, regression, performance, and integration testing\n\nHands-on experience with test management tools such as Jira, Xray, or TestRail\n\nGood knowledge of Git and version control workflows\n\nPython skills for test automation and scripting\n\nUnderstanding of communication protocols such as gRPC, CAN, EtherCAT, UDP, and TCP/IP\n\nPractical experience using measurement and testing equipment, e.g., oscilloscopes and logic analyzers\n\nStrong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills\n\nEnglish language skills required\n\nNice-to-have qualifications\nExperience with ROS 2 or comparable robotics middleware frameworks\n\nExperience testing robotic, automation, automotive, or other complex mechatronic systems\n\nKnowledge of CI/CD environments such as GitLab CI or Jenkins\n\nExperience with compliance testing, EMC testing, or functional safety validation\n\nExperience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL)
