Job Overview
As Solution Architect, Health & Life Sciences, you will lead the functional solution design for Salesforce Health Cloud across our healthcare engagements and act as the functional lead for NeuraFlash's Health practice. You combine hands-on Health Cloud design depth with real industry fluency-you understand how payers, providers, integrated delivery networks, device and distribution companies, and pharma actually operate, get paid and are regulated-and you translate that into designs our Data 360, Agentforce, Service, Field Service and Revenue teams can build.
You will have the opportunity to help lead Health & Life Sciences solutions with key business and IT stakeholders, and internally will be responsible for building the reference architectures, reusable patterns and enablement that let the rest of the practice deliver healthcare work with confidence.
You'll have the opportunity to:
- Lead functional solution design for Salesforce Health Cloud grounded in the HLS industry data model and out-of-the-box capabilities-Person Accounts and households, Care Programs and Care Plans, Provider and Payer data models, member and benefits verification, referral management, Utilization Management, and Intelligent Document/Form processing-evaluating every requirement against native capability before recommending custom build.
- Run discovery and design sessions with client business and IT stakeholders across payer, provider, medtech/distribution and pharma organizations; present design decisions and trade-offs; and drive open questions to written closure with owners and dates.
- Author and maintain the functional design for Health Cloud engagements: data model mappings, object and field design, process flows, user stories with acceptance criteria and formal design sign-off artifacts, following NeuraFlash's Navigate Next delivery methodology and accelerators.
- Design for a regulated environment -PHI handling, HIPAA and BAA requirements, Salesforce Shield and field-level encryption, consent and minimum-necessary access-so compliance is built into the design rather than bolted on.
- Shape the end-to-end architecture with our technical leads -Data 360 (member/patient/customer 360, identity resolution), Agentforce (member, patient and intake agents), Service Cloud Voice, Field Service, Revenue Cloud / ARM and MuleSoft-including integration patterns to systems of record such as EHRs (Epic, HL7/FHIR), core administration and billing platforms.
- Translate the functional design for the build team (Technical Architects, Developers, Data 360 and Agentforce specialists), review configuration against spec, and support UAT and deployment gates.
- Define what NeuraFlash owns versus what the client must provide (data access, SME availability, environment access, compliance approvals) and hold both sides to it.
- Help build our Health practice -own the payer and medtech/distribution reference architectures, capture reusable patterns from engagements, contribute to scoping calculators and SOW templates, and co-deliver healthcare enablement with our HLS sales leaders for the delivery team.
- Support pre-sales as the Health Cloud subject-matter expert: discovery calls, solution shaping, demos and estimates alongside our HLS sales team and Salesforce Health & Life Sciences account teams.
- Coach and mentor functional and technical team members on Health Cloud and the healthcare operating environment, and stay current on Salesforce Health Cloud, Life Sciences Cloud and Industries releases.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in Salesforce consulting, solution architecture or business analysis, with 2+ years of hands-on Salesforce Health Cloud design and delivery on at least two full-lifecycle implementations
- Direct experience in the healthcare industry-payer, provider/IDN, medical device or distribution, or pharma-with working knowledge of how each is funded, regulated and operated (CMS reimbursement, payer-provider dynamics, member and patient journeys)
- Practical understanding of HIPAA, PHI handling and BAAs, and how they shape Salesforce design decisions (data model, sharing, encryption, consent, audit)
- Deep knowledge of the Health Cloud data model and features: Person Accounts, Care Programs and Care Plans, Provider/Payer models, benefits verification, referrals, Utilization Management, Intelligent Document Processing
- Proven ability to lead discovery workshops, facilitate design decisions with senior stakeholders and document them to sign-off
- Experience designing integrations with healthcare systems of record-EHRs (Epic or comparable, HL7/FHIR), claims or core administration platforms, or billing and order systems-typically via MuleSoft or equivalent
- Ability to tie solution outcomes to business value (member experience, cost to serve, referral turnaround, revenue leakage) through clear storytelling
- Comfortable with flow-charting and data-modeling tools (for example Lucidchart) and with agile delivery
- Willingness to travel to client sites as needed
Preferred Skills
- Salesforce Health Cloud Accredited Professional and an Application or Solution Architect credential; Salesforce Industries or OmniStudio experience
- Hands-on exposure to Data 360 (Data Cloud) and Agentforce, or a comparable CDP / generative-AI platform, in a healthcare context
- Experience with Life Sciences Cloud or Veeva CRM (commercial or clinical), and a point of view on Veeva-to-Life Sciences Cloud migrations
- Experience with Service Cloud Voice, Field Service (device install base, depot) or Revenue Cloud / Asset Revenue Management in medtech or distribution
- Familiarity with payer distribution channels (brokers and agencies) and integrated delivery networks (health plan plus care delivery)
- Prior experience standing up a practice, competency or center of excellence at a consulting partner
What can you expect in the interview process?
- Recruiter screen (phone) - 30 minutes. Introductory conversation to discuss the role and your experience.
- Peer interview (video) - 45 minutes. You'll talk through your career goals, relevant Health Cloud work examples, and challenges you have overcome and the tools you used to get there.
- Panel interview with real-time exercise (video) - 60 minutes. You'll receive a healthcare scenario (for example a payer member-service or referral-intake use case) and talk through solution options live-no offline preparation required-and spend time with NeuraFlash delivery team members.
- Industry conversation (video) - 30 minutes. You'll meet our Health & Life Sciences sales leaders to discuss the healthcare market and where you see it going.
- Leadership interview (video) - 45 minutes. You'll meet with a member of our leadership team.
