These devices allow us to restore movement to the paralyzed, restore sight to the blind, and revolutionize how humans interact with their digital world.\nTeam Description:\nWe build the electrical systems that make high-bandwidth brain-computer interfaces possible. This includes neural signal acquisition and stimulation to wireless power delivery, embedded processing, and system integration-all within devices small enough to be implanted in the human body and efficient enough to operate under strict thermal and power constraints. Our work sits at the intersection of analog, RF, digital, and biological systems. Many problems in this space do not present clean abstractions or clear failure modes. Success often depends on careful measurement, iteration, and engineering judgment across multiple interacting systems.\nJob Description and Responsibilities:\nWe are looking for an experienced, hands-on electrical engineer for implant electronics board design, integration with our custom chips, testing, and quality control. You will have the opportunity to contribute to advanced projects, not only work on incremental changes, and be an integral member of a small, fast-moving team. You will be working on all phases of board design (part selection, schematic design, layout, and bring-up) as well as collaborating closely with chip designers, firmware engineers, mechanical engineers, and microfabrication experts for system integration.\nUtilize electrical engineering fundamentals and best system design practices to build on your ability to deliver high-performant, reliable, and manufacturable extremely size-constraint systems\nGain understanding of all phases of system and board design, from system definition to part selection, schematic design, layout, bring up, and design verification\nContribute to R&D investigations and experiments to demonstrate feasibility of new technology for the implant and the charger\nGain experience working cross functionally to ensure successful systems integration\nContribute to system improvements that decrease latency and increase battery life, reliability, and safety\nDevelop ability to design and deploy systems for implant-charger hardware in the loop testing, and manufacturing line quality control\nRequired Qualifications: \nStrong EE fundamentals\nExperience designing PCBs for low power and size constrained applications\nExperience with PCB CAD tools (Altium, Eagle, KiCad, Allegro)\nExperience with sensors, power management, and signal/power integrity\nComfortable with common communication protocols (SPI, UART, I2C, etc.)\nComfortable with lab equipment (oscilloscope, VNA, etc.)\nBasic C and Python programming skills\nPreferred Qualifications: \nExperience with firmware development for embedded systems (C/C++)\nExperience with wireless systems (BLE, WIFI, Zigbee)\nExperience building and bringing-up MCUs or FPGA\nProficiency with ME CAD tools (Solidworks, AutoCAD)\nExperience with analog circuit design\nExpected Compensation:\nThe anticipated hourly rate for this position is listed below.\nCalifornia Hourly Flat Rate:\n $35/Hr USD\nWhat We Offer:\nFull-time employees are eligible for the following benefits listed below.\nAn opportunity to change the world and work with some of the smartest and most talented experts from different fields\nGrowth potential; we rapidly advance team members who have an outsized impact\nExcellent medical, dental, and vision insurance through a PPO plan\nPaid holidays\nCommuter benefits\nMeals provided\nEquity (RSUs) *Temporary Employees & Interns excluded\n401(k) plan *Interns initially excluded until they work 1,000 hours\nParental leave *Temporary Employees & Interns excluded\nFlexible time off *Temporary Employees & Interns excluded","description_format":"text","description_chars":3811,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["Equity","Flexible time off","Parental leave","Vision insurance"],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Electrical & Electronic Engineering","Medical & Healthcare Robotics","Neurotech & Neuromodulation"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-04-16T02:58:21Z"}],"visa":[{"country":"US","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"H-1B filings in 12 months: 25 · green card filings: 1","filings_12m":25,"filings_prev_12m":12,"green_card_filings_12m":1,"median_offered_wage_usd":145962,"route":null,"cap_exempt":false,"checked_at":"2026-10-15T11:24:14+00:00","sources":["US Department of Labor: LCA disclosure data (H-1B, H-1B1, E-3)","US Department of Labor: PERM disclosure data (green cards)"],"filings_for_role_12m":5}],"liveness":{"score":25,"band":"fade","label":"Fading","p_open":1,"p_active":0.579,"p_room":0.44,"age_days":187,"expected_fill_days":138,"reasons":["conf:1","velocity","win:tail","crowd:junior"],"computed_at":"2026-10-20T05:45:00Z"},"pay":{"stated_usd_annual":70000,"is_top_pay":false},"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/neuralink-electrical-engineer-intern-implant-embedded-systems","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/neuralink-electrical-engineer-intern-implant-embedded-systems.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-20T18:01:18Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":20597,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-21T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":8},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=8"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fneuralink-electrical-engineer-intern-implant-embedded-systems"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fneuralink-electrical-engineer-intern-implant-embedded-systems"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fneuralink-electrical-engineer-intern-implant-embedded-systems"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/neuralink-electrical-engineer-intern-implant-embedded-systems\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fneuralink-electrical-engineer-intern-implant-embedded-systems"}]}
