Firmware is the kernel of operation for the implant, and you have the chance to define and implement features that have a significant impact on the product’s capabilities. As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be expected to:\nOwn complex challenges from definition to solution\nUtilize your ability to work cross functionally to deliver safety critical systems while considering power, radio, and thermal requirements\nTake ownership of products and/or core features; from planning and design to execution and testing\nBuild on your fundamental understanding of hardware while contributing to bare-metal firmware\nEmbrace a fast-paced iterative environment that prioritizes shipping manufacturable solutions \nNote: The team is hiring embedded engineers at all levels, both junior and senior. What matters most is evidence of exceptional abilities and a drive to succeed.\nRequired Qualifications: \nBachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, related field, or equivalent experience \n1+ years of experience with embedded systems (including internships)\nProficient in embedded C or Rust\nAbility to design bare-metal embedded systems in highly constrained environments\nStrong Electrical Engineering fundamentals \nSignal processing fundamentals \nYou find enormous challenges exciting and enjoy discovering and defining problems as much as solving them\nYou deliver. You may enjoy thoughtful conversations about problems and perfecting design, but in the end, you know that delivering reliable manufacturable solutions matters\nYou are a cross-disciplinary team member. You are excited to work with and learn from chip designers to neuroscientists\nPreferred Qualifications: \nExperience with embedded stacks for ARM cores\nExperience with safety-critical systems\nExperience with FPGA development and testing\nExperience with RF, BLE, TCP/IP stacks from a practical embedded perspective\nPrior work or experience with applied cryptography and embedded systems security\nExpected Compensation:\nThe anticipated base salary for this position is expected to be within the following range. Your actual base pay will be determined by your job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. We also believe in aligning our employees’ success with the company's long-term growth.
