We run a mixture of cloud-based and on-prem systems and have a user base spanning from highly technically proficient engineers to non-technical scientists and doctors; but all of them need solid systems, rugged networking, and bullet-proof software to do their jobs. \nJob Responsibilities and Description: \nThis role will integrate tightly with Mechanical Engineering teams across the company, and span all layers of the work environment stack, including our next generation surgical robots, physical hardware on the manufacturing line, and state of the art neural implants and chargers.\nTech Stack:\nSOLIDWORKS, SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional\nSOLIDWORKS API (VBA, C#/.NET), Python\nMicrosoft SQL Server, Active Directory\nPowerShell, Bash\nIntune, MDM\nBazel and Nix\nUbuntu, Fedora, Windows\nFocus:\nBuilding the foundations for mechanical engineers designing our surgical robots and implants.\nOwning SOLIDWORKS and PDM performance, reliability, upgrades, and new-hire setup.\nAdministering PDM: users, permissions, workflows, Toolbox, and vault performance.\nDeveloping CAD CI for automated model and drawing validation and release.\nIntegrating PDM with design-controls and manufacturing systems to automate BOMs, DMRs, and build routes.\nBuilding secure on-prem infrastructure for 3D printers and machine shop tooling, including internal quoting.\nDriving CAD and tooling standards across the company.\nRequired Qualifications:\nStrong user focus.\nExperience administering SOLIDWORKS PDM or a similar PDM/PLM system.\nExperience with CAD automation using the SOLIDWORKS API: macros and add-ins.\nProficiency in Python, C#, Rust, or Go.\nExperience tuning performance on workstations, file servers, and SQL databases.\nSystems administration experience on Windows, macOS, and Linux.\nWorking knowledge of networking and of securing on-prem equipment.\nFamiliarity with mechanical design workflows, design controls, and BOMs.\nAbility to turn engineering pain points into shipped tooling quickly.\nIn-depth understanding of modern networking and common protocols.\nAbility to architect, build, and ship 0 to 1 infrastructure quickly and efficiently.\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, equivalent field, or equivalent experience.\nExpected Compensation:\nThe anticipated base salary for this position is expected to be within the following range. Your actual base pay will be determined by your job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. We also believe in aligning our employees’ success with the company's long-term growth.
