The team builds critical systems and processes that safely accelerate our progress along the company's critical path.\nJob Description and Responsibilities:\nNeuralink is looking for a motivated IT Systems Administrator Intern to serve as a primary point of contact for end-user technical support across our Fremont campus. In this role, you will focus on Helpdesk T1 and T2 support, handling day-to-day tickets, device troubleshooting, and user onboarding and offboarding - while also having the opportunity to collaborate with and learn from full-time IT Systems Administrators on broader infrastructure and systems projects.\nServe as a first point of contact for T1 and T2 Helpdesk support, triaging and resolving end-user tickets across macOS, Windows, and Linux environments\nAssist with device imaging, configuration, and deployment for new hire onboarding using MDM platforms (e.g., Jamf, Intune, or Kandji)\nSupport user onboarding and offboarding processes including account provisioning and deprovisioning in identity platforms (Google Workspace, Okta, or Microsoft Entra)\nTroubleshoot L1 and L2 connectivity issues including Wi-Fi, VPN, and basic VLAN-related problems, escalating to FTE Systems Administrators as needed\nAssist with hardware asset management including inventory tracking, asset tagging, and lifecycle documentation\nSupport conference room AV equipment maintenance, including troubleshooting displays, video conferencing systems, and audio hardware\nCreate and maintain Helpdesk documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles to support team efficiency and knowledge sharing\nCollaborate with FTE IT Systems Administrators on projects spanning endpoint management, identity and access management, SaaS administration, and security\nRequired Qualifications: \n\nCurrently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field\nFoundational understanding of operating systems including macOS, Windows, or Linux (coursework or personal experience counts)\nBasic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to support a diverse, non-technical user base with patience and empathy\nEagerness to learn, take initiative on Helpdesk tasks, and collaborate effectively with full-time IT team members\nPreferred Qualifications: \n\nPrior Helpdesk, IT support, or customer-facing technical support experience (internship, part-time, or volunteer experience welcome)\nFamiliarity with an MDM platform such as Jamf, Intune, or Kandji\nExperience with Google Workspace, Slack, or Zoom administration\nBasic scripting knowledge in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automating routine IT tasks\nFamiliarity with identity and access management concepts such as SSO, MFA, and user lifecycle management\nExperience in a regulated environment or awareness of data privacy best practices (HIPAA, PII handling)\nExpected Compensation:\nThe anticipated hourly rate for this position is listed below.\nHourly Flat Rate:\n$25/Hr USD\nWhat We Offer:\nFull-time employees are eligible for the following benefits listed below.\nAn opportunity to change the world and work with some of the smartest and most talented experts from different fields\nGrowth potential;
