This role exists to strengthen management capacity within the Innovations organization, enabling the team to incubate and scale new technologies, including AI-driven capabilities and other complex initiatives, without overburdening mainline engineering teams. The role leads engineers directly, partners closely with product and engineering leaders, and creates the structure, communication, and delivery clarity needed to move ambiguous, first-of-their-kind work from concept to execution.\nAbout the Role:\nLead Innovation engineering initiatives from discovery through delivery, translating ambiguous opportunities into executable plans, clear ownership, and measurable outcomes.\n\nManage and develop direct-report engineers, including performance management, coaching, career development, and day-to-day support for assigned team members.\n\nPartner with Product and Engineering leaders to shape cross-functional initiatives, align priorities, and create practical paths to deliver new capabilities across multiple engineering teams.\n\nUnblock teams by identifying organizational, technical, and process barriers and driving collaborative solutions that accelerate delivery of net-new technologies.\n\nServe as a primary connection point between Innovation and distributed or acquired engineering teams, helping integrate efforts, clarify responsibilities, and improve operating cadence.\n\nDrive organizational planning for the Innovation function, including resourcing, budget input, initiative prioritization, and realistic schedule development.\n\nProvide technical program and project leadership by coordinating dependencies, monitoring progress, surfacing risks, and ensuring initiatives remain aligned to strategic goals.\n\nExceptional people leadership, organizational effectiveness, and cross functional collaboration skills.\n\nStrong technical foundation with the ability to quickly understand new technologies, assess tradeoffs, and guide teams through ambiguity.\n\nDemonstrated technical project and program management experience, including dependency management, resource planning, and schedule development.\n\nHigh emotional intelligence and the ability to build trust, alignment, and momentum across Product, Engineering, and distributed teams.\n\nHumility.
