HQ offers an inviting atmosphere, complete with an on-site café, fitness center, and Flagship store.\nApply to join New Era's team!\nThe Financial Analyst is a member of the New Era Finance team, assisting with accounting, tax compliance, reporting, reconciliations, payments, and other finance-related activities. This position offers exposure to a variety of finance functions and works closely with internal teams to support compliance, reporting, and day-to-day operations. The Finance Analyst assists with maintaining financial records, supporting audits, coordinating payments, and helping ensure the accurate completion of finance and tax-related processes.\nThe Tax team at New Era Cap ensures compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations across global operations while supporting accurate financial reporting. They partner with Finance and other teams to manage tax planning, filings, and risk mitigation, helping optimize the company’s overall tax position and maintain compliance standards.\nResponsibilities\nSupport estimated tax, extension, property tax, and royalty withholding payments, including tracking, processing, and related mailings\nRetrieve, scan, organize, and maintain tax-related correspondence and documentation\nPrepare monthly transfer pricing calculations, intercompany invoices, and related journal entries\nPrepare general ledger reconciliations and post monthly tax journal entries in SAP\nPrepare and file international information returns, including Forms 1042-S and NR4\nSupport Canadian indirect tax compliance, including GST and QST filings and monthly payments\nMaintain fixed asset records and process monthly depreciation calculations \nCoordinate treaty and residency documentation, including Forms 8802 and tax residency certificates\nTrack professional and consulting fees to support budgeting and reporting activities\nSupport responses to tax notices and communications with tax authorities as needed\nPrepare financial, census, and other regulatory surveys, including cross-functional data collection\nSupport the collection of charitable contribution acknowledgements, reconciliation of related general ledger accounts, and identification of foundation-related expenses\nProcess payment vouchers and invoices through Concur in a timely and accurate manner\nSupport vendor setup and annual Form 1099 preparation and filing\nSupport month-end close activities\nPrepare and process intercompany invoices, ensuring appropriate support, coding and timely communication with internal business partners\nSupport auditor and advisor information requests by organizing and uploading supporting documentation\nPrepare monthly cash account reconciliations\nSupport special projects and other finance, accounting, and tax initiatives as assigned\nKeep all sensitive matters confidential\nOther duties as assigned\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\nProficient in MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook with strong Microsoft Excel skills required\nExperience with SAP and Sage Fixed Assets software preferred\nExcellent organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines\nAble to demonstrate thoroughness and attention to detail with tasks\nAble to work independently and solve problems in a fast-paced environment\nAble to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with individuals at varying levels in the organization\nAble to build relationships with others and collaborate within a team environment \nBasic understanding of accounting principles and the ability to learn new concepts and processes\nEducation and Experience\nAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field\nZero (0) to two (2) years of accounting, finance, tax, or related experience\nTravel Requirement\nThe location for this position is 100% on-site in Buffalo, NY\n0% to 5%; domestic and/or global\nThe salary range for this posted position is $55,000 - $65,000 (plus bonus & benefits) and pertains to candidates located in Western New York.
