Apply today and help us shape the future of work-together\nEngagement: Contractor/C2C\nDuration: 6+ months\nWork Arrangement: Primarily Remote\nTravel: Occasional travel to Philadelphia, PA, as required\nWe are seeking a seasoned Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) Functional Lead with deep, hands-on expertise across Finance and Supply Chain Management for an immediate contract engagement.\nThe ideal candidate will bring strong functional knowledge of D365 F&O, including system configuration, financial operations, month-end close, cash application, collections, and related business processes. In addition to functional leadership, this role requires the ability to write or modify code, troubleshoot technical issues, and develop custom modifications to address complex business requirements.\nThe successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, finance teams, supply chain users, and technical teams to analyze requirements, configure the system, resolve functional and technical issues, and deliver effective D365 F&O solutions.\nThis is a primarily remote engagement requiring availability during US East Coast business hours. Candidates must be based in the United States, possess excellent English communication skills, and be willing to travel to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, occasionally when required.\nKey Responsibilities\n1. D365 F&O Functional Leadership\nLead functional activities across Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management.\nGather, analyze, and document business requirements from finance, accounting, collections, and supply chain stakeholders.\nTranslate business requirements into functional specifications, solution designs, and system configurations.\nConduct fit-gap analysis and recommend standard D365 F&O functionality or custom solutions based on business needs.\nLead functional workshops, requirements discussions, solution walkthroughs, and stakeholder meetings.\nProvide functional guidance to business users and technical teams throughout implementation and enhancement activities.\nEnsure system configurations align with business processes, financial controls, and operational requirements.\n2. Finance and Accounting\nConfigure and support core D365 F&O financial modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Cash and Bank Management.\nSupport financial dimensions, account structures, posting profiles, journals, financial calendars, and related configurations.\nManage and troubleshoot month-end and year-end closing processes.\nSupport financial reconciliations, transaction postings, period-end adjustments, and financial reporting requirements.\nConfigure and support customer payment processing, cash application, payment matching, and related reconciliation activities.\nSupport collections processes, overdue receivables management, customer balances, and collection prioritization.\nTroubleshoot financial transaction errors, posting issues, and discrepancies between subledgers and the General Ledger.\nAssist with financial process improvements, automation opportunities, and controls.\n3. Cash Application and Collections\nAnalyze and improve cash application processes, including customer payment processing, remittance matching, and payment reconciliation.\nConfigure and troubleshoot relevant D365 F&O functionality supporting customer payments and cash application.\nWork with Accounts Receivable teams to resolve unapplied cash, payment discrepancies, and customer account issues.\nSupport collections workflows, collection letters, customer aging, credit and collections processes, and outstanding receivables management.\nInvestigate issues involving customer transactions, payment settlements, deductions, and account balances.\nIdentify opportunities to streamline cash application and collections through standard functionality, configuration, or custom modifications.\n4. Supply Chain Management\nProvide functional expertise across relevant D365 F&O Supply Chain Management processes.\nConfigure and support procurement, inventory management, product information, order processing, and related supply chain workflows as required.\nAnalyze business processes and identify configuration gaps, process inefficiencies, and system issues.\nTroubleshoot integration and transaction issues affecting finance and supply chain operations.\nEnsure appropriate integration between supply chain transactions and financial postings.\nCollaborate with finance and operational stakeholders to validate end-to-end business processes.\nSupport system enhancements and process optimization across finance and supply chain functions.\n5. System Configuration and Functional Setups\nPerform hands-on D365 F&O configuration and maintain relevant system parameters, master data settings, tables, and related functional setups.\nConfigure modules and business processes based on approved requirements.\nUnderstand D365 F&O data structures, table relationships, transaction flows, and dependencies between modules.\nAnalyze existing configurations and identify root causes of functional issues.\nDocument configuration changes, dependencies, and functional design decisions.\nValidate configuration changes through functional testing and regression testing.\n6. Technical Modifications and Custom Development\nWrite, modify, and troubleshoot code to support D365 F&O customizations and business requirements.\nWork with technical teams to design and implement custom modifications where standard functionality does not meet business needs.\nDemonstrate the ability to understand existing code, identify defects, and implement appropriate fixes or enhancements.\nWork with X++ and relevant D365 F&O development components, including extensions, classes, tables, and business logic, as applicable.\nAnalyze technical issues affecting financial and supply chain transactions.\nSupport integrations, data entities, custom business logic, and related technical components.\nPerform technical validation and testing to ensure custom modifications function correctly and do not disrupt existing business processes.\nFollow Microsoft development and extensibility best practices when implementing custom solutions.\n7. Testing, Troubleshooting, and Production Support\nDevelop and execute functional test scenarios and support system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT).\nValidate end-to-end financial and supply chain processes.\nInvestigate and resolve application defects, configuration issues, and transaction errors.\nPerform root cause analysis and recommend permanent corrective actions.\nSupport production incidents, system enhancements, and business-critical issue resolution.\nCoordinate defect resolution with technical teams, business users, and other stakeholders.\nMaintain documentation for test cases, defects, resolutions, and system changes.\n8. Stakeholder Communication and Documentation\nServe as a functional lead and primary point of contact for assigned D365 F&O workstreams.\nCommunicate technical and functional concepts clearly to business and IT stakeholders.\nPrepare functional specifications, configuration documentation, process flows, test scenarios, and implementation notes.\nProvide regular updates on project progress, risks, dependencies, and outstanding issues.\nFacilitate discussions between finance, supply chain, technical teams, and business leadership.\nMaintain clear documentation of decisions, requirements, customizations, and completed deliverables.\nRequired Skills and Qualifications\nExtensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.\nStrong functional expertise in D365 F&O Finance and Supply Chain Management.\nDeep understanding of financial setups, transaction processing, and system configuration.\nProven experience supporting month-end close and financial reconciliation processes.\nStrong hands-on experience with cash application, Accounts Receivable, and collections.\nUnderstanding of D365 F&O tables, data structures, relationships, and transaction flows.\nAbility to write, modify, debug, or troubleshoot code and support custom modifications in D365 F&O.\nKnowledge of X++ and D365 F&O development concepts.\nExperience with functional specifications, fit-gap analysis, testing, and production support.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to lead stakeholder discussions independently.\nAbility to work independently in a fast-paced contract environment and manage competing priorities.\nMust be based in the United States and available to work during US East Coast business hours.\nMust be able to travel to Philadelphia, PA, occasionally as required.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience leading D365 F&O implementations, enhancements, or application support engagements.\nExperience supporting complex finance and supply chain business processes.\nFamiliarity with D365 F&O integrations, data entities, and financial data migration.\nExperience with code review, defect resolution, and coordination of functional and technical changes.\nKnowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Lifecycle Services (LCS), Azure DevOps, and D365 F&O release management.\nRelevant Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications.\nExperience working directly with US-based finance, accounting, and operations stakeholders\nNew Era Technology, LLC., and its subsidiaries (“New Era” “we”, “us”, or “our”) in its operating regions worldwide are committed to respecting your privacy and recognize the need for appropriate protection and management of any Personal Data that you may provide us.
