Further information is available at www.newflyer.com.\nPOSITION SUMMARY\nWe are seeking a Customer Programs Manager who will act as the liaison for the company and the customer, successfully managing assigned contracts by leading cross-functional teams throughout the pre-production, bus build and acceptance processes. This individual will cultivate long-term business relationships of customer confidence and trust.\nWHAT YOU WILL DO:\n Must understand the full requirements of each customer contract as assigned.\n Develop a project plan, identify project timelines, and track status of work vs. plan (includes staying current with program plan).\n Provide daily operational guidance to cross-functional departments relative to the completion of contracts from initial strategy to post delivery.\n Address and resolve project issues that may arise and manage critical project timelines.\n Conduct weekly project meetings with internal/external stakeholders. Must record and publish minutes of each meeting that include actions, owner, and due dates. \n Must ensure calibration of the contract with the customer and internal stakeholders on both bus and contract deliverables.\n Complete all required project documentation, especially project status milestone update and updates for weekly Exec Ops meetings.\n Work within key controls identified under this area of responsibility in support of compliance to financial reporting.\n Work with customers to confirm final bus configuration and work closely with Field Services and others until completion of final bus acceptance.\n Engage in the meaningful development of personal Management by Objectives (MBO) criteria and execute your work to achieve these goals.\n Work within established policies and processes to ensure goals and objectives for all regulatory and legal requirements are met, including organizational, Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety programs.\n Identify opportunities for process improvements.\n WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:\n Bachelor's degree in business administration or communications or related business experience.\n Mid Professional with 5+ years of work experience in a manufacturing or customer-oriented environment.\n Prior Project Management experience in a manufacturing environment and/or PMP Certificate or equivalent work experience.\n Superior computer and organizational skills.\n Goal orientated and motivated to achieve tasks within set timelines.\n Ability to present information professionally in written and verbal communication.\n Ability to work with minimum supervision and possess initiative to seek improvements.\n Motivated self-starter with capabilities to work within a fast-paced team-oriented environment.\n Must be able to travel to all New Flyer facilities when required (including Canada and U.S.)\n *Travel is required for this position**\nWHY JOIN OUR TEAM:\n Employee social committee organizes numerous events throughout the year, including summer barbecues, holiday festivities, sporting events and tournaments, and much more.\n Ongoing employee development through a variety of in-house training initiatives along with tuition subsidies for courses at outside institutions.\n OUR WHY:\nWe exist to move people.
