Further information is available at www.newflyer.com.\nPOSITION SUMMARY\nThe Materials Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all activities associated with the Materials department. Responsibilities include receiving, shipping, shop floor, planning, and all point of use locations.\nWHAT YOU WILL DO:\n\nCoordinate materials functions in a cell concept setting within a team environment including materials, manufacturing engineering, production, and quality assurance\nImplement engineering change orders to released jobs.\nAssist in the development, communication and deployment of departmental policies, guidelines, and tools to ensure success in all processes.\nAssist in maintaining the material department budget with indirect labor, overtime, materials supplies, communication devices, and travel.\nMonitor, measure, and meet all material measurements.\nMonitor and reduce negatives to zero, monitor line entry schedule and part status prior to and during the build process.\nPerform cell audits to ensure inventory accuracy\nRequirements\nBetween 3- and 5-years’ experience in an inventory control position preferably within a manufacturing setting.\nExperience with Oracle would be an asset.\nAPICS certification or currently enrolled in APICS programs.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines.\nEffective communication skills both written and verbal.\nAdvanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret information quickly.\nExceptional computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).\nBenefits\nOUR WHY: We exist to move people.
