Summary:\nResponsible for the overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, machinery and infrastructure as assigned by the Plant Engineer.\nKey Job Responsibilities:\nEffectively troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment to identify issues and take necessary corrective actions.\nInspect machinery, lubricate and make adjustments or repairs as needed.\nPerform scheduled preventative maintenance on production equipment and ensure good operating condition while optimizing equipment up time and ensuring the safe and timely manufacturing of products.\nDocument preventative maintenance and repairs in equipment maintenance logs as per maintenance department requirements.\nPerform facility maintenance as needed.\nParticipate in the installation of new equipment and physical structures as needed.\nOperate shop equipment and tools as skill level will permit.\nAbility to work overtime on nights and weekends as needed for the efficient operation of equipment of the facility or when emergencies arise.\nSupport site housekeeping, safety programs or other related tasks and duties as assigned.\nObtain forklift, lift truck and scissor lift certifications within 90 days of employment.\nFollow proper safety rules and regulations throughout the facility using OSHA best practices.\n10-15% travel required.\nRequirements\nEducation, Skills and Experience Requirements:\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.\nTechnical school certificate in mechanical, electrical systems or hydraulics a plus.\n3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.\nExperience with plastic or silicone processing equipment.\nExperience with building automation system (BAS)\nAbility to work in a fast paced, flexible environment.\nSelf-motivated, does not need constant supervision.\nAbility to communicate (verbally and written) effectively with management as well as other team members.\nUnderstanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams\nKnowledge and understanding of three phase and single phase power systems, electrical wiring and control circuitry.\nBasic computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office
