This role oversees the development of mining equipment from concept through production, ensures engineering excellence, drives product innovation and cost optimization, and manages a high-performing engineering team.\nKey Responsibilities\n1.\nEngineering Strategy & Planning\nDevelop and execute annual engineering plans aligned with company objectives, product roadmap, and market requirements.\nLead engineering initiatives related to new product introduction, production capacity expansion, manufacturing process improvements, and technology upgrades.\nEnsure engineering activities comply with applicable international standards, including ISO, ASME, API, and relevant mining industry regulations.\n2.\nEngineering Team Leadership\nLead and manage multidisciplinary engineering teams, including Mechanical Design, Electrical Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Process Engineering, and Technical Documentation.\nBuild a high-performance engineering organization through coaching, mentoring, recruitment, training, and succession planning.\nEstablish clear performance objectives, KPIs, and career development plans for team members.\n3.\nProduct Design & Engineering Management\nEstablish and continuously improve engineering design standards, procedures, and development processes.\nManage the complete product development lifecycle for mining equipment, including crushers, screens, feeders, conveyors, apron feeders, and related systems.\nOversee conceptual design, detailed engineering, prototype development, testing, validation, and production release.\nEnsure engineering designs meet performance, safety, reliability, manufacturability, and regulatory requirements.\nLead design reviews, technical risk assessments, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and design validation activities.\nDrive value engineering initiatives to improve product reliability while reducing material usage and manufacturing costs.\nOversee engineering documentation, including 2D/3D CAD models, engineering drawings, BOM, technical specifications, and Engineering Change Orders (ECO/ECN).\n4.\nManufacturing Engineering & Continuous Improvement\nLead manufacturing process development, including production workflows, assembly procedures, tooling, fixtures, gauges, and testing methods.\nPromote Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles to improve production efficiency.\nDrive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, improve product quality, and reduce waste.\n5.\nQuality & Engineering Compliance\nEnsure all engineering designs and technical documentation comply with company quality systems and applicable international standards.\nWork closely with the Quality team to establish inspection standards, testing procedures, and product acceptance criteria.\n6.\nProject & Cost Management\nManage engineering budgets, project schedules, resource planning, and technical deliverables.\nLead cross-functional engineering projects, including new product development, plant expansion, manufacturing improvements, and product redesign.\nEvaluate new materials, components, suppliers, and technologies to improve product performance while reducing manufacturing costs.\nMonitor project progress, identify risks, and ensure timely project completion.\n7. Cross-functional Collaboration & Technical Support\nPartner with Sales, Operations, Production, Supply Chain, Quality, and Project Management teams to deliver practical engineering solutions.\nProvide technical expertise during customer discussions, project execution, and after-sales support when required.\nFacilitate technical reviews, engineering meetings, and lessons-learned sessions to promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.\nResolve complex engineering issues affecting manufacturing, installation, or field operations.\n8.
